    Maybe he is but he wasnt playing and had been loaned out so to miss out on signing Croatia number 1 keeper on the off chance Steer would be good enough would have been madness. If he turned out to be shit we would have been screwed. I think you’re doing this on purpose now!

    Mate do you remember those looping balls over the top that him and Chester missed. One v QPR and 2 v Derby stand out. Would be food and drink for Hause. No doubt Axel is a better footballer. I think Hause is a better defender.

    In my experience this country has come such a very long way in terms of racism I think people should be quite proud of it. Althought a typical racist in the UK is seen as white British, ironically i have found the least racist people (to the extent they wouldn’t even think a racist slur) to also be white British.

    Spot on. Just because he runs around a lot there is a misconception he presses well. There’s no intensity in his press. Defenders easily pass it around him.

    Anyone else think he looks and runs like Ronaldo? He is getting better every game and has won me over. Plus he is still very young, Hope we can sign him.

    You’re probably right. I like Axel but it’s hard to decide who is a better centre half out of him and Hause. Axel was solid and good on the ball but I remember him struggling with balls over the top. But then on the other hand he had Chester next to him who has struggled all season. Maybe alongside Mings he would be better. Plus they would give the right foot left foot balance that Smith likes. There may also be injuries from now until the end of the season that determines who plays. Either ways we’re starting to look in a good position at the back. Always good to have options.

    I agree with this. Keep it as is against Blackburn and slowly introduce Chester and Axel back in to to team. Maybe even move Hause to left back depending on how games are going. I don’t rate Taylor but his part of a solid back four for last 3 weeks. If it ain’t broke...

    Yeah I guess that’s pretty crap. I guess he is seen as a big talent. For his own career he should go out on loan to another Premier league club.

    I think the answer for player X is move to a top league. I don’t think it has to be a top 6 team to get a call up. Past squads under Southgate are good evidence of this.

    Grealish went to Notts County at the age of 17 and ran the show. O’Hare is 20 in 2 months. I’m not sure he is making a big impact wherever he is going.

    Based on Smiths ppg since he took over we if he was manager from then start of the season we would have finished on 76 points. Now considering he took over a team that had won 1 in 10 and conceded 15 goals in the process I think he has done a superb job of keeping us in contention for playoffs.

    I think he has been fine and will only get better. Some of the criticism of him as a player is a bit harsh and premature in my opinion.
