I didn’t imply anything mate. You were replying to @weedman
He wasn’t dropped. He lost his place. How many times do people have to explain this to you before you understand?
Hope everything turned out alright mate.
I meant actually in the room with them during the labour as opposed to not being there at all. I found I was a hindrance and it would have been better if my wife had her sister with her or something.
If I did I would fully understand there’s a chance I could lose my place if the player who replaced me did a great job.
I actually see where you are coming from and if we didn’t have cover I reckon he would have played. We didn’t need him.
Edit: quoted the wrong post. Was meant to quote @screwdriver
Does any man actually want to be there when their wife gives birth? I don’t think it actually helps them. If I have another one I’m waiting outside.
Whilst I think he has been great lately I do think he has been poor in enough games at his time here to warrant criticism in the past. He has never deserved to be a scapegoat though.
@Stevo985 on the other hand thinks he's the best defensive midfielder we’ve had since Andy Townsend!
To be fair its difficult to play at the intensity we did first half for 90 minutes. Also Blackburn moved it around really well. Even then they created nothing and scored from a mistake. We also had chances to get the 3rd in the second half.
It was good to see us show some grit in seeing the game out.
He did a really dangerous crossfield pass that could have lead to trouble. The most amazing thing about the mistake was it’s probably the first one he’s done since he arrived.
Quailty player and defender. Really hope we can sign him.
An Inconsistent player for me is somebody that is good one game and crap the next. What you have just described is poor form in my opinion.
He has been very good for the last 6 games.
That’s one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is all the teams we are playing are all under pressure. I actually think the toughest opponent we’ve had during this run (not including Birmingham) was Blackburn.
In that second half they played like a team that had no pressure on them. Moved it around really well. I was quite impressed.
It does but you even had Whelan, Taylor and Elmo putting in sharp first time passes and always looking to pass and move.
It's different coaching to the previous management where I couldn’t ever quite understand how we were trying to play. Players used to be so static.
But to be fair a lot of work must have been done under Bruce too keep us solid. We didn’t used to concede much.
I keep reading this but those 5 away games that Derby have don’t look easy to me. Derby are awful away from home.
I think we have the best run in up until the last 2 games.
As for tonight’s game I think Boro are due a win after 4 defeats in a row. They also looked a lot better against Norwich and were a little unlucky.
Bristol managed an amazing result on the weekend but the game must have taken a lot out of them.
I just watched the first half again. Green, Grealish, Mcginn and Abraham’s one touch link up play was fantastic. Others were good too but those 4 really stood out.
We play like that every week we will destroy any team. I didn’t think we’d see the affects of Smiths coaching until next season. To see it come at a time when we can still go up is great to see.
