  1. He is shit at it yet he is still better than Hutton! What does that tell you?
  2. I think he accepts his limitations and is now just making sure he puts a hell of a shift in every game. His defending has been good. He will never give you much from an attacking sense because he just doesn’t have it in him. You’ll see he is very quick to give the ball to an opponent and doesn’t take any unnecessary risks. I’m fine with that has long as he remains switched on from a defending perspective like in recent games.
  3. Just read this after I posted. We more or less said the same I think.
  4. That’s because a lot of the goals we concede are not directly his fault. For example I think it was against Hull where he let his man run behind him and and get a cross in which led to the goal. All the blame went on Taylor for losing the player that scored but if Hutton had done his job properly then the cross would never happens. Elmo tends to do the basics of following your runner a lot better.
  5. Or maybe the decision can be given by those assistants sitting in a box looking at screens. Between them be allowed to make a decision. Feels like they passing all the responsibility and scrunity on to the ref.
  6. He actually has a history of being way too attacking in first legs and getting torn apart. Think Liverpool last season and Barca while he was at Bayern. Yesterday they were more cautious but hardly defensive.
  7. I’ve always loved watching Peps teams and think his the best coach around but some of his team selections are bizarre at times. I’m not sure if it was due to injuries but Delph looks out of place in that team wherever he plays, never mind at left back. It was awful defending for their goal.
  8. These handball decision are seriously pissing me off. First the World Cup final and now two big champions league game. Not one person in the ground thought for a second that was a penalty yesterday and there would have been zero discussion about it afterwards. Yet once the referee was told in his ear he has to look at it again he had no choice but to give the penalty because of this new stupid interpretation of handball bought in to accommodate Var! Its going to ruin the game.
  9. This season Rotherham have beaten Derby, Preston and Forest at home. They have drawn with Sheff United, Sheff Wed and Bristol whilst losing by one goal against Leeds and Norwich. My heads telling me we will draw. My heart is saying another 3-1 win.
  10. Yeh I’m guessing away fans can rock up on the day. It’s good to see us talking about fans not being able to get tickets while we are 6th in the Championship. The feel good factor is back.
  11. Oh you mean if the whole of the upper stand is empty? Does that ever happen? Edit: Or what if away fans turned up to by tickets on the day. Will the get turned away because their allocation has been passed on to home fans?
  12. I wouldn’t alter the defence either. Defenders can normally play more games without fatigue settling in. I’d probably rest some of midfielder though. Maybe swap Whelan for Hourihane as he he looked a bit leggy against Sheff Wed. Also bring Adomah in for Green or El Ghazi.
  13. I wonder how many fans are turning up to boost their booking history. I have to admit that’s why I’m going for the last few games. I generally prefer to watch games on tv. My eyesights crap and I sometimes have to guess who players are!
  14. Hopefully try and kill them off early as we have in recent games.
  15. Final tickets? I looked at last years attendance and it was 85k. Doesn’t Wembley hold 90k? I guess it probably meant Fulham didn’t sell out their allocation.
  16. I managed to get a decent seat in the trinity last Friday. Got lucky really. Im surprised it’s completely sold out not. Surely there must be the odd single seat around the ground..
  17. I thought they couldn’t do that for safety reasons?
  18. For me personally I thought Bruce did alright last season. We had injuries to key players and had Grealish played all season we would probably have finished 2nd. It’s the way he constantly made excuses about money even though our wage bill would probably have rivaled most teams in the top flight that wound me up. Then there’s how he would have a dig at fans. You just don’t do that no matter how bad things get. As for Rotherham we all know it will be tough. But we seem to have a real steel and determination about us at the moment as shown in our last theee games. You and Blues threw everything as us and Forest tried the direct approach too. We came through all three (mainly because of Mings) We will win tomorrow.
  19. Bruce is a decent manager for you. He will keep you solid and probably get you to playoffs next season. It won’t be pretty but it will be effective. If however things start going wrong for you you’ll see a different side to your manager. One you probably wouldn’t expect.
  20. What’s so great about their fans? Genuine question.
  21. Never even considered you a playoff place contender but the way you’ve been playing you could go on and win it!
  22. They are. I mentioned previously they have 6 less points at home than we have managed at Villa park. 29 of their 39 points have been at home. Also a win takes them out the bottom 3. Will be a hard game.
  23. Also don’t want to play Leeds in the playoffs. Better they get automatic.
