The more I watch it back the more I think their goal shouldn’t have been wiped off. It was legit if onside. We need to learn from this and be more alert in the future.

Probably one of the most important games in world football considering the money at stake but they won’t use VAR when it’s available to them. Ridiculous.

In a way I would have preferred we werent given the goal. The injustice would have been great motivation and Leeds would have been even more hated. But the unbeaten run probably more important. Anyone know if they using VAR in the final?

Word is OGS wants to keep him next season. Really hope we can sign him if we go up. Quality player.

Everyone seems to be forgetting it was offside anyway so justice was done. Next season in the Premier League Var would have chalked the goal off for offside.

Until the sending off I thought we edged it. Yes they had all the ball but you expect that away from home against a possession based team. We created the better chances. it would be a different game at Wembley but let’s beat Albion first.

You are right but I think there must be more to it. Pretty much everyone had stopped playing including the player on the ball. Then he did a sneaky pass through. It was all unsavoury but I agree we must be more switched on for this kind of thing.

I was watching it with a Leeds fan who was saying that is how Phillips plays. Wither way we should have been more switched on. I need to see it again. edit: fantastic battling performance. I love the spirit!!

Need to forget about the cup runs mate. Cost you two seasons in a row. Yes they are fun at the time but you can’t cope with the extra games.

He may well fire them to promotion but he’s staying in this league (when we sell him of course). It will look good on his cv though.

I see where you are coming from but we should have been breaking top 4 in those 4 seasons with MON considering the money spent on both transfer fees and wages. The right manager at the time would have done it. I remember one of the seasons we were in complete control and as far as im aware Lerner was prepared to back MON in January to secure the striker we needed. Who did he go out and buy? Emile ****** Heskey!! I get angry just thinking back to what a wasted opportunity those years were. -
Whilst I want us to remain unbeaten (and I think we will) would it be the worst thing to finish 6th? Cant decide if I’d rather play Albion or Leeds over 2 legs or in a one off game.

Or if NSWE bought us when Lerner did... I don’t think it would have mattered when Lerner bought us. He was just not cut out for sports club ownership and was always destined to fail. Made a mess of Cleveland Browns too. -
Bennett last season. Clark and Hogg the season before.

We all called it. Too many games in such a short period. Wil always catch up with teams. Maybe they should consider the value of cup runs next season.
