Seriously how old are you?
-
Decent squad player. We will need a lot of fillers.
-
I don’t think our owners wealth makes that much different in terms of what we can now spend. FFP will ensure another Chelsea or Man City will ever happen again.

I agree. They were a bit like us the year we went down and then the first year in the championship. Signed loads of players (some decent) without a plan on how to play them all. Then it was chop and change every week until something clicked (or didn’t click in this case).

I always thought he looked quite confident with both feet. Only time I remember him giving it away was against Albion when trying to be to clever.
-
I see where you are coming from but he really does have a massive amount of self belief and confidence. Kalinic and Nyland may have looked better in training but it means nothing if fall apart on match day. I think Steer will keep learning and improving. He can step up.

Good Luck to Albert. He played his part and fans will always be grateful. All the best to him.

The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
Vive_La_Villa replied to sir_gary_cahill's topic in Other Football
I hope I’m really wrong but I got this feeling Jack will just be a good player in the top flight and not this superstar we all think he will be.(for the record I’d be happy with that). I don’t think he has bossed the second tier anymore than the lad Leicester signed from Norwich. He has gone on to be player of the season for them which is great. But I think we may get he carried away with how good we think Jack really is. Again I can’t stress how much I hope I’m wrong and he goes on too big things with us. It’s just my opinion. -

Maybe. I guess we’ll have to see what next season brings. Things change so quickly as we saw from Smith taking over and winning games to then fans wanting him sacked to them promotion. I suppose Leicester showed us anything is possible in football. -

Totti won a seria A with Roma and was challenging each season. We’re a million miles from challenging for the equivalent. -

It depends on how good he gets and his ambition. From the top of my head I can think of 2 players that stayed at their clubs when could have moved on. One was Matt le tissier that was never the model professional in terms of fitness. He was just a natural talent. The other was Gerrard who had as good as signed for Chelsea but got death threats so stayed at Liverpool and still won major trophy’s. If Grealish is as good as some think he could he would be crazy not to leave. We could use that money to reinvest the way spurs have been able too. -

I love Jack but I don’t think he is worth that yet. -
Tax efficiency?

You reckon a fee was agreed then? Wonder how much it was. What a turnaround. Might also explain why Jack wasn’t quite himself the first few games. It seems like he was messed around quite a bit. -

I think everything was agreed but the final transfer fee. Then the takeover happened and the maximum fee Spurs thought they would need to offer was no longer accepted. -

Nah if he is as good as we think he is he will move to one of the big 6. Next season will show us how good he really is. After that he will move for a big sum. -
I think Lolleys a very good player and could do a job in the top flight. Most top players in the championship have the ability for the top flight. In many cases it’s football intelligence that sets them apart. I think Lolley has what it takes.

Have we written off Hause as a first team centre half? He had the odd error in him but it was his partnership with Mings that started the 10 game run.

Last night I was watching a 70m keeper punching under no pressure in a high profile game. On Monday I saw a keeper deemed not good enough to be number 2 for us at the start of the season claim 2 crosses near the end of one biggest games in football whilst Derby put intense pressure on us. He is good enough for the top flight for me.

Agree. It’s over now though isn’t it? One for off topics but from personal experience whilst for some people celebrating with drinks/drugs days on end may be greats. For others it can be a slippery slope. As for Mings, maybe they will announce the signing at the same time as Hause and El Ghazi.
