Hard to judge unless you saw him play though. For example when we got relegated Gueye was our best player and got a decent move.

Whether he will improve us or not only time will tell. But one has scored over 30 championship goals and had numerous assists. The other struggled to make an impact on our team. Same level really?

Goals aside Tammy was priceless at defending corners too. I bet he prevented many goals being scored against us.

Maybe he was offered a deal but he could get better elsewhere? Good Luck to him. He always gave his all for us which is all you can ask.

He pretty much engineered this move all season. Good riddance. @sir_gary_cahill will be gutted though.

This must be a signing that would have happened regardless of promotion. Considering Gardner is worth f all and they paid 7.5million for Jota. The deals seams about right.

I reckon he’d have to drop his wages a fair bit for that. He could probably get paid more in the US, Middle East or Indian Super league if he fancies a last pay out.

I know you are one the clubs leading budding accountants but what can it hurt to give him a low paid contract as a squad player?

Agree. Was 23 over 2 seasons though. The way I see it if he was in our team last year I bet we would have been saying he is one to keep.

Maybe we’ve just had shit Goalkeeping coaches for too long. I assume they would have made the call on him. The last one also probably chose Nyland.

The thing is we’ve been so good defensively he hasn’t had to do anything out the ordinary. A lot of his saves have been straight at him. Sign of good position for me. When he has been called up on to make a class safe against Albion he stepped up. When he was called upon to keep his head and claim the ball agaisnt Derby he stepped up. As others have mentioned had we signed him in Jan rather than recalling him fans would think he’s a very good keeper. As you’re a keeper yourself mate I’m really suprised you can’t see how much potential this lad has.

There’s no way he will be offered 40k a week. If he is offered a deal if will be on our terms i’m sure. Then it’s up to Glen to decide if he can make more elsewhere.
