To be fair 2, 3 and 4 suggest he could be decent and maybe a club where the expectations were lower he could do well. Would be risky though.

Awful mate. Klopp would rather play Milner as left back than Moreno. As you say he is probably on decent money so happy to hang around playing a few minutes here and then. He is definitely an athlete and maybe can improve defensively. But he was always a massive liability for Liverpool.

He probably doesn’t want to be a number 2. But I reckon he will back himself to try and challenge the number 1.

I don’t think we should or would sell for 2-3 million though so in my opinion he is worth more than that. I admit the club would probably consider 5 million.

I read that he own a Goalkeeping academy in Manila. For a lad that was born and bred in the UK I like the sound of that. Seems a good guy.

No one will pay 10m for Steer. But some have said he is worth 2-3m. I disagree as I do not think we would find a number 2 as good as Steer for that kind of money. We’d be better off keeping him.

Some saves were outstanding. Others looked like he could have just simply held them. He is very athletic and has strong wrists though.

Yeah you’re right. Many goalkeepers seem to go cheap. I actually think Steer is slightly better than Johnstone although I appriecate many will probably not agree with that. If we do sign a new keeper it will be interesting to see who we keep out of Steer and Kalinic. The latter may want first team football to help his chances for Croatia.

I rememeber when Watford were the same with Ben Foster in goal. They could lose 3-0 every game but he would always be man of the match.

No chance! I know it’s all about opinions but I think this is being very harsh on Steer. Edit: just saw your last post and I guess you could be right. But I still think Steer is good enough to be number 2 for us at least.

Good post. Unfortunately the chances created stat in bold will most likely go down rather than go up regardless of who is is up front.

He’s been quite unlucky really. Got thrown in goal for arguably one of the worst defences in the league. Gets concussion and then gets a knee injury. At the same time our number 2 comes in and does a great job to keep him out. Bit of a nightmare move for him really. A preseason with the team will do him good. Almost like a fresh start. As for my opinion on him as a keeper I’ve literally only seen him a few teams so hard to judge. For me goalkeeping is a lot about confidence and his must be pretty low after everything that’s happens.
