  1. If we spent 40m on a top striker I’d be very excited. I just don’t think we’re anywhere near that place yet. Loved to be proven wrong though.
  2. Nobody knew about him because La Liga now comes on some crap internet site rather than sky sports. I’m sure all top scouts and clubs were aware of him.
  3. Imagine if we just went nuts and spent 300-400 million. I’d probably wet myself and shit myself at the same time.
  4. The one I watched was the one that was posted a few pages back. But to be fair it was a video that was highlighting all his strengths.
  5. Can’t be same video I watched then. He looked class!
  6. But this is kind of my point as to why the wealth of the owners may become irrelevant. Every club in the top flight can now spend big because of Tv money. But the top 5 or 6 can spend even more. It’s probably the same calibte of players being bought by most its just everything has been inflated. I really hope im wrong but I don’t think having the second or third richest owners in the league matters that much anymore. It would have around 10 years ago.
  7. But I though FFP means you can only spend what you earn? So it’s irrelevant how rich our owners are.
  8. I don’t think he was actually that good a defender. Would be a massive upgrade on Taylor though.
  9. I see where you are coming from mate but are we 8 times richer than Everton? Doesn’t FFP now mean it’s all about revenue rather than owner wealth? So whilst every club will have the broadcasting revenue to spend it will only be the top 5 or 6 teams that can spend more than the rest after establishing themselves before FFP came in to force.
  10. I want to know why he hasn’t been moved to other football. What do you know Mods?
  11. Wouldnt suprise me if we end up securing a late move for him. I don’t think he is ready for United but they probably don’t want to lose another player that goes on to be a star like they have in the past. Maybe they will insist on some sort of first refusal buy back clause.
  12. How come he hasn’t been moved to other football yet? He posted ‘’’lead us’ in the Prem Skip’’ to Jack on instagram and fans are now getting excited.
  13. Are will still talking about Maxi Gómez? This isn’t going to happen. The guy is touted as the next Suarez. At this moment in time we need to be finding Maxi Gomez’s before the world knows about them.
  14. I agree. Unless it’s a situation like 4 seasons ago when players had seemed to have given up and the manager was all out of ideas. I can’t see that happening though. Edit: under Smith I’ve only seen one game where the players all let themselves and the club down. Smith has mentioned the game to at times. I can’t think of any other game where I’ve thought the players didn’t give their all.
  15. Scares the hell out of me looking at this.
  16. I just watched his goals from 2 seasons ago and he really was a different player before his injury. A shame really.
  17. It’s time for Jack to step up and prove he can be a star player in the top flight. The world is now watching. If he proves to be the player many think he can be he will hopefully play a massive part in keeping us up next season and then will probably move on for big money which we can reinvest in the team. I personally think his level will be midtable Premier league and hopefully with us for many more years.
  18. Wow the way he heads the ball is a thing of beauty. Apparenly West Ham had a 25m Pound bid turned down in January. This aint happening.
  19. I will buy the shirt if I can lose a stone and a half.
  20. My understanding is fanatics design and produce the kit. Kappa pay to have their logo on it and help with the design. Could be totally wrong though.
  21. I see where you’re coming from. But I remember Cahill to be quite quick with a good burst of pace. He probably isn’t that player now though at 33.
