    I’d say a top 10 PL club is more attractive than a newly promoted club that need a massive rebuild. This is regardless of the history. I think fans are getting ahead of themselves.

    We’ve all been scarred by that relegation season. So many signings. Actual optimism in the summer. But we could not defend to save our lives. This time we seem to have a very good coaching setup and the club is being run differently from top to bottom. No doubt it will be different this time but until we start seeing the new players come in you can’t help but worry. I have to admit though when I look at our squad from the one that finished 6th 3 seasons in a row to the ones that Lambert kept in this league. I do think the Premier league is much stronger than its ever been in the past.

    Can’t remember a season with so many great goals. The Mcginn and Grealish volleys are superb.

    Maybe not better. Definitely harder and more demanding on the players. Look how long it took El Ghazi to adapt.

    That video shows how good his long range passing is. His ability to switch the play is superb. Something we probably take for granted.

    Me too but overall I think the Championship is stronger than leagues such as the French, Dutch and Portuguese leagues. The main difference is you have to pay a Premium when the players are from the Championship. Also because it’s a second tier league fans get put off and think the players are proven at a high level. I appriecate many won’t agree with this.

    Totally disagree that he is a Smith type footballer. He doesn’t work anywhere near hard enough for the team.

    I’ve never rated him highly. Comes across as lazy, thinks he is better than he is. Doesn’t press, wants the ball to feet all the time. Plus he is ridiculous injury prone. I just think he’s the kind of player we need to avoid.

    Nice. I think he can be as good as Mahrez. When Mahrez was the same age he was playing in Ligue 2 for Le Havre. Benrahma is a lot better than what Mahrez was at the same age. So in my opinion that’s makes your insulting post even more ridiculous. Edit: removed my thoughts on Mazrim and his posts.

    If we signed Sturridge it would be clear that we learned nothing from the Richards signing.

    Saying that it was only Coventry that took a chance on Robbie Keane for 6m (which was big money back then). Although he was a couple of years younger than Maupay.

    That’s a fair point. Do we have any young centre halves at the moment? Last I saw we released quite a few.

    Lescott was bought in to start. Williams would be 4th or 5th choice. Probably never play but there just Incase. Again i don’t think it will happen anyway but looking at our squad we really need some fillers as well as first teamers.

    Talking of Ashley Williams. Whilst I don’t think for a second it will happen if he is fit and we signed him on a one year performance related contract as a 4 choice centre half would it be the worst signing in the world?
