    I don’t get why fans are so scared of us signing one or two experienced players. I get we’re a bit scarred by Richards and Lescott but not all players in their 30s are past it. If they are good professionals and the terms are right what’s the big deal? We need more than just a team of 11 players.

    Exactly. I said from the first time I saw him at Chelsea he’s attitude was wrong and he is a very selfish player. For that reason he would never go on to big things. Although the may have been unlucky with injuries I think he’s done as a top striker and has been for quite a few years.

    I very much doubt he will accept a pay as you play contract. There will be a team out there that’s gets done over by giving him a 3 or 4 year contract on decent money. Thankfully it won’t be us.

    Terry at his peak for me was the best defender in the world at the time. Cahill was a great defender but comparing him to Terry. Come on now. Let’s all be sensible.
