What’s over 10 years ago got to do with it? He left in 2012 anyway. He may not sign a contract because of the salary they offer him or he may want to be a starter somewhere else rather than sit on the bench.

I’m unable to buy a season ticket this year but will try and attend as many games as I can. But my eyesight is crap so it’s only worthwhile if have decent seats which are normally taken by season ticket holders. So hopefully theirs a ticket exchange this year.

He could take time to settle too and adjust to the league. Maupay more likely to hit the ground running having played for a couple of years with the speed and intensity of English football.

Elmo can do a job at right back but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him slide in his whole time at Villa. They’re may be the need for a lot more last ditch defending next season.
