I’ve never seen him play so can’t really comment. As for the fans opinion of him most fans don’t know what they are talking about but if pretty much all of them are happy his leaving then it’s a bit worrying.

Can’t help but question why Southampton are letting him go. Maybe he wishes to leave for first team first football? Hes young, English, has both championship and Premier league experience. Seems a bit pricey but I guess that’s what you pay for young talent these days.

All those against signing Championship players are right. I think we would just sign some highly rated young players from Europe and the French league in particular and play them alongside some older British based players that have had lots of Premier league appearances. Thats the way forward...

I would argue the Championship is stronger. One example - I don’t think Scott Sincler would have offered much in the championship but he tore the Scottish Prem apart.
