The guys has a mansion in LA and is offering massive sums for the return of his dog. I could be wrong but he doesn’t come across as the kind of guy that would ever accept a pay as you play.

Genuine question mate but has there ever been a pay as you play deal? Sturridge for me would but a horrible signing. I think his attitude has always been questionable. I’d be amazed if the speculation is true.

The logo ruins the kit in my opinion. That’s why I didn’t buy one. But the design and colours were very good.

We have paid way too much but what’s the alternative? Better, proven players would cost even more and players from abroad are a big risk. I think any player we are signing seems to have an extra 5-10 million added to it because of our situation.

Hindsight cock up? Nobody knew how good Mings would turn out and nobody expected promotion. If we didn’t go up but still wanted to sign him we would have been in a situation where Bournemouth would want 17.5 million for him.

Clubs over the past 3 seasons have spent from 70-100millin in their first summer in an attempt to stay up. You could argue we are a bigger club than any of the teams that got promoted in recent years so could probably spend even more based on revenue. 120-150 million spent this summer is maybe not out of the question. A lot of the signings seems to have a lot of addon’s. I wonder if they are related to staying up?

The thing is we still need a top defensive midfielder and maybe another first team centre half. They won’t come cheap.

Reports we’ve bid 7m for Heaton. I like Steer but think a more experienced keeper like Heaton would be a sensible move.

It looks fine to me but sounds like we have some shirt connoisseurs that aren’t too impressed. Don’t really get the love for last years shirt that had a worm like creature on it though.

He has a lot of fight and desire in him to be fair which sometimes can make up for any weakness. He was unbelievable in the second leg against us.
