He has the talent. We’ve all seen it. A loan to a championship team for a season would do him a good.

Whilst I like Jota and think he is good enough to start. I’m seeing a lot of posters who previously saw him as a squad player now thinking he is a starter due to one friendly appearance. I wouldn’t judge the players too much from any of the friendlies lads.

I’m not doubting the ability he once had. I just don’t think he will be able to cope at a high level anymore. Happy to be wrong about him.

If Jack was 30 years old, was out all season and also said the words ‘I have injured my body indefinitely’ in an interview. I’d be saying the same thing about him.

I have a lot of respect for Chester. Decent defender and a great character. But if he was that good he would have been snapped up when the club was about to go bankrupt. Ill leave it at that.

That makes no sense. Chester is still here because he is in contract. If his contact was ending do you honest think he would have been offered a new one?

F*** me it’s amazing how sentiment clouds judgement. Chester was awful last season. It’s no coincidence he played no part in our 10 game winning run.

He was great under Bruce because he can defend. Under Smith he struggled because he is not comfortable on the ball. Yes he had injury problems but he just isn’t that player. I rate him and am grateful for all he did. But there’s no chance he will play in the Premier Legaue for us next season.

Didn’t see the game and only a pre season friendly so hard to really judge. But does sound like a few fans that were getting carried away for next season got a little reminder of how much is still left to do. Its going to be a very tough season.
