Yeh but to be fair he is arguably the most famous player in the world. They would probably make that much back with shirt sales alone.
Anymore examples and then I’ll explain where I’m going with this. Might surprise a few.
Really? I think they are going to struggle. Still a lot of egos at the club and expectation is high. I don’t think Lampard will last the season.
This is a year for teams to break in to the top 6 or top 4 or in my opinion.
Grealish is debatable as I think you do need to be playing against the best week in week out to get called up. Madison I agree is a farce. He was Leicester’s player of the season.
I don’t think the club would turn down a profit of 47m on a player that is yet to prove himself in the top flight. Especially after they’ve just spent 120 million.
Edit: I also don’t think there’s a chance in hell a club will offer 50m for him at this stage.
It wasn’t a brilliant goal. It was just a tidy finish. I just found it sad that rather than people being able to post well done for the goal there was at first nothing but silence and then eventually a debate on how good his goal was.
Looks like many fans have made up their mind on him.
I still think he could be a decent player but I guess I’m in the minority.
At the expense of who? There has only been Wesley and Davis with one of them being injured. If there was a lot of competition in that position he wouldn’t play, e.g. Tshbola.
Seems like a kind of professional thing to do.
edit: or we could say we don’t want you and we want to sell you so we’ll make sure you are not in a good state for prospective buyers.
I love Mcginn. I think he’s class and hope he stays with us for years. But I doubt the club would say no to 50 million.
But the simple fact is no clubs is going to offer 50 million for a player with one successful season in the Championship.
It’s all bollocks.
Looking at the players shirts I reckon it’s just the elite kit that has that weird shoulder thing going on. Maybe it’s something to do with how tight they fit at the shoulders.
