I think this is a team that would comfortably sit top half in our league. It’s the kind of test we will be facing week in week out next season. Its going to be a tough season.

I have a season ticket but it also says im on the waiting list. Must be a system glitch but I wonder if there are more situations like this and it it’s making the waiting list look larger than it really is...

It is. But when fans don’t like a player any alternative feels like a better option. I don’t think Hourihane is a defensive midfield but I’d understand if he started against Spurs. However Nakambe after 2 weeks training and one preseason game will probably be ready to start.

I’d be suprised if Luiz who doesn’t seem to have even trained with the club yet will start next week. Tomorrows game will be telling.

Not picking on you mate, this is a just a post in general but relates to what you said. I really think a lot of fans forget how common injuries to key players happen over a season. So many times I see fans ask why we want to buy x when y is good enough. Then when y gets injured and we have to play a youngster not good enough or a player out of position fans complain about us not signing x! We need two strong players in every position.

I reckon Bruce will play 3 at the back with Axel part of it. They have loads of centre halves. He had success with Hull playing that way. Plus didn’t he try it with us a few times too?

Even then a couple of injuries and we’d be f**ked. Our average spend for each player is about 13m which is still a lot of money in my opinion. It’s not like we’ve gone for quantity over quaility.
