I’m sure the club are trying hard to get in another winger and striker. I think winger we can probably live without. But up front to just have Wesley, Kodjia and Davis will mean a massive over reliance on Wesley.

2 years ago Kodjia had just scored 19 goals and Hogan had scored 15. It was not such an embarrassing group at the time.

if this comes off it will be the most exciting signing for me. This player has so much potential. Can you imagine 2 of Trez, Jota, El Ghazi and Benrahama always be on the pitch. Then it mixed up in the second half! We going to be deadly from the flanks.

Unless sober I like Hourihane. I get he sometimes gets caught out not tracking but I don’t think it’s his game. Whether he should start or not against Spurs I don’t know. But he will certainly play an important part for us this season I’m sure.

Yes Heaton looks a big upgrade on Steer You’re probably right about Steer. I really like him but he just isn’t commanding enough. I think he could be an ok number 2 to have though.

I can see Bree going out on loan so Elmo and Guilbert will be our only right backs. So unless the club have a replacement in mind he’s going nowhere.

Don’t get me wrong I find today really encouraging. But had we lost 3-1 i wouldn’t be too worried either. These games soon get forgotten.
