Would have been better off going down and coming back up a few years later. The year we finally got relegated was the year before the tv money really exploded. Was the worst possible time.
I see 4 leagues.
League 1 - Man City, Liverpool
League 2 - Spurs, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea
League 3 - Everton, Leicester, Wolves, West Ham
League 4 - The Rest
Whilst games from league 2 and 3 are winnable. It will ultimately come down to beating those in league 4 in my opinion. All 6 pointers.
To be fair you said
‘’I'd be very surprised if you can find many, if any, examples of teams that have won 10 games in the premier leagueand still gone down’’
and he gave you 8 examples which is around 30% of teams that went down which is pretty high really.
I agree it’s a being pedantic though. I’d take 10 wins any day.
Chelsea took the game to Man U and got caught on the break. I can’t beleive they lost that let alone by 4!
The score doesn’t tell the whole story.
edit: who is saying yesterday’s score was bad? Nearly everyone is saying Villa were unlucky!
To be fair I say respect to him for leaving. Could easily have just carried on getting paid for doing nothing like other player have done in the past.
Seems a good character.
If it happens it’s yours. Will mean the club had learnt nothing from what’s happened in the last 10 years and I don’t want to waste time on it.
I know it will happen but it disappoints me to see how many fans want it to happen.
When I see fans talk of Sturridge now joining us I think they’ve learnt nothing about what the club are trying to do.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. If we sign Sturridge I’ll happily give my season ticket away.
Are you trying to kill the mood on purpose or does it just come naturally?
We also now have Jota and Luiz. Both attack minded midfielders. Focus on the positives man!
In the past we’ve been disappointed on transfer deadline day because the whole transfer window has been a farce.
I think today we are disappointed because we’ve been spoilt.
