I don’t know mate. I’ve seen quite a few people single him out this season for the reason we have not scored enough goals. Whilst I agree he is not good enough for where we want to be in the long term. For some to claim he is the problem and must he dropped at all costs it does feel like it’s scapegoating a little.

Watford’s approach of sacking managers every season is going to catch up with them eventually. I think they are one of the teams to go down.

Really? I’m seeing a player that is trying to move past people the way he did in the Championship but constantly losing the ball due to lack of pace and strength for this level.

I totally disagree. I think he would get caught out positionally time and time again. But it’s all about opinions.

I think Trez could be a better player but needs to get up to speed with the league. I reckon if he had spent a year in the Championship he would be a better player than Anwar is right now. Jota for me looks like a very good championship player.

So it’s Taylor’s fault our wingers are shit? For me Taylor’s job first and foremost is to prevent the opposition from scoring. In the last 3 games he has managed that. (Can’t blame him for the palace break away goal). I get his shit going forward and if we spend big money on Targett he should eventually play. But suggestions of Mcginn playing there and at one point even Hourihane is ridiculous in my opinion. I don’t think it matters what Taylor does for us he will forever be judged on how crap he was for large parts of his time in the Championship. Hause playing there is an option if the Taylor starts costing us goals. Burt whilst he’s does f**k all for us going forward I can remember quite a few crucial pieces of defending this season that has prevented us conceding. That seems to be overlooked.

Interesting shout. He showed last year he can finish. Maybe he can be coached in to a striker like Henry was.

I think too much is made of full backs having to be attacking. We managed 6th 2 seasons in a row with centre halves playing as full backs. I don’t think the game has changed that much in 11 years that every full back has to be shit hot going forward.

Nobody is saying he is a good defender. They are saying he has been doing a good job. Lets see how well we do defensively from that side when he’s eventually replaced. It’s going to need to be a massive improvement because he hasn’t even been that bad.

To be fair although he doesn’t create a chance and goes backwards at least we keep the ball. Long term I agree he needs to be replaced but for the time being it’s not as big a problem as some seem to make out in my opinion.

We all know Taylor is crap going forward but he has been quite good defensively and has become part of a pretty solid back 5. Whilst we’re keeping clean sheets I don’t think he should be dropped.

Looks like a real bargain at the moment and along with Engels and potentially Marvellous is showing the good work of our scouts at finding very good value for money.

I don’t think you shout at a player like that for a one off lapse in concentration that may or may not have been his man. That s**t has been building up.

If our palace goal had stood we would be joint 13th with goals scored and also have scored in 4 out of our 5 opening games. We are 13th for shots and 10th for shots on target. A lot of room for improvement but for a newly promoted team I think shocking is a big harsh.
