I don’t get why he should lose confidence if he’s dropped. It’s a squad game. He shouldn’t expect to start every game regardless of what we paid for him. Does this mean Luiz shouldn’t have been dropped either? edit: if anything what’s its doing to Davis’s confident when he gets a few minutes here and there and seems to make more of an impact than Wesley did the whole game.

I can’t believe how poor they are considering the money spent. Same with Everton and Arsenal. Id have to see how good we would be if we could spend the kind of money these teams have over a few seasons.

I think he should have. But then Engles should have been closer to it as well. Not to mention the cross shouldn’t have come on. It was a shocking goal to concede all round.

We’ve had s**t luck all season. But it’s clear the team are working their asses off every game. We should be on 6 points too. Hopefully the points will come in the next 2 games.

Yep. He is a unique player that will only get better. Maybe im getting carried away but wouldn’t even suprise me if Liverpool or Man City tried to sign him.

I’ve defended Taylor this season but he was pretty shocking for both of their goals. I don’t know whether he wasn’t with the pace of the game but his marking for their first goal in particular was inexcusable at this level. To be fair there was poor defending all round but had he just attempted to defend that cross it would have made it difficult for Rodriguez. As for the second goal he will be embarrassed when he looks back at his feeble attempt to block the cross. But Engles and Heaton will be disappointed with themselves too for that one. It really was such a poor goal to concede.

Good debut. Hopefully not injured again.

Great goal. He has that in his locker. Thinking back to the goals he has scored I’d say he is probably one of the best finishers in our team.

If Targett is injured Smith may need to consider Hause as an option after Taylor seemed to turn back in to shit on Saturday after an ok start to the season. I can handle Taylor not attacking if he does the basic of defending right. He seemed to have forgotten that part of his game too.

I’ve defended Smith all season but even I’m baffled with his decision to keep Wesley on for so long. I wonder what his thinking was around that.
