  1. We need to work on set pieces and corners. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe every goal we’ve scored this season has been from open play?
  2. Yep I misunderstood as usual. Learn a lot from this thread, thanks guys FWIW I voted Tory in 2015 based on policies. The fact Cameron would be Prime minister instead of Miliband was just a bonus.
  3. I don’t agree. Also why do you say voting based just in a manifesto is voting blind? It’s more important than voting simply on whether you like the leader of the party or not surely?
  4. Sounds like we wanted Maupay but couldn’t pay what Brighton were which is understandable considering how much we spent in the summer. We still need to be responsible with wages etc. We’ve all seen how much of a mess it’s got us in the past. It’s a shame though. He’s a good little player.
  5. Would anyone actually vote Tory because of Johnson though? I wouldn’t want either him or Corbyn as PM. Any vote would be based on party manifesto. Not these two clowns.
  6. I’m still not convinced. I seem to see more from Davis in his cameos and still think he could do with some minutes. He was unlucky not to score and it was that corner they lead to eventual goal. Wes’s 4 in 9 is still a decent return I just think we need a lot more from our striker with the way we play. It will be interesting to see if we bring in another striker in January.
  7. He showed why he is so important to us today. Literally everything good we do goes through him. If he continues to play the way he did from now until the next international break he will 100% get called up.
  8. I understand why they haven’t given some penalties as if you’re not 100% sure you can’t give it. But how the f**k can the Var have been sure that was a foul on the keeper?!
  9. I doubt that many people want this man as our leader but what’s the alternative? Jeremy Corbyn?
  10. He was poor today yet so much better than Taylor! edit; poor in general play. Still very very effective and a good player.
  11. Won’t somebody please think of the shots!!
  12. I agree with that. The amount of space they had in the middle was a joke. But I would say our defence is very strong. It’s bailing us out many times. One of the problems for me is Wesley doesn’t move enough which means he needs midfielders closer to him. We can’t defend from the front. If we had a Tammy style striker that is all over the place our midfielders wouldnt have to be so box to box which wouldn’t open so much space in the middle Also I couldn’t work out where Hourihane was playing today.
  13. Doesn’t this mean the problem is the midfield?
  14. It does feel like there is something sinister going on but it probably just boils down to shit refs with a replay to view.
  15. I’m eager to watch Motd to see them discuss theses decisions. Maybe the controversy is increasing viewing numbers? Some of the decisions just make no sense. It’s almost like if a ref has missed the chance to make a poor decisions than VAR is helping them out.
  16. In terms of opponents I think Fulham still had more points than us. (I substituted Norwich for Cardiff). Not that it matters. edit: just double checked and they had 10 points.
  17. What’s this? Please don’t tell me that goal was disallowed?
  18. As mentioned in the Match thread how long after an incident can the goal be disallowed. They had a chance to clear and Jack brilliantly won it back. What if we passed it around a bit before we scored? Would it still be disallowed? All that aside how is the even a foul? Even the sky sports commentary in real time says it’s certainly not a foul at the time of the incident. It’s madness.
  19. What does clear and obvious mean and how long after an incident occurs can’t Var still overrule it. Does the fact we won the ball back count for nothing? I don’t get what’s going on.
  20. That for me is the worse I’ve seen us play all season yet we won. It’s a funny old game isn’t it?
  21. I thought we were poor today and until they went down to 10 men they were the much better team. Even second half they looked like a threat and we created hardly anything. But end of the day we never gave up and we got the 3 points which we probably didn’t deserve but we were due considering the luck we’ve had this season. Jack was unbelievable today. What a player.
  22. I wasn’t interested to be honest mate and just said they had my vote. I’ve never voted for a local election in my life and it’s labour that has won for the whole of that time. She definitely said November though.
  23. Talking of MPs i had a lady knock on my door this morning to say vote Tory in November. The funny thing was she had an Indian guy with her (he was a apparently a representative) just standing there. That was the gesture to try get my vote She made sure to introduce him to me. Anyway great result for Villa today
