  1. It sounds like you didn’t watch the game. It wasn’t wave after wave of attack. A lot of those shots were long rangers and they had a lot of the ball without creating clear cut chances. I can remember 3-4 clear cut chances they should have scored. I also remember 3-4 clear cut chances we should have scored. I give up.
  2. You’re the only villa fan that thinks that out of thousands so I think you’re wrong. Even most Liverpool fans I know say a draw would have been fair result.
  3. Ok so if Newcastle finish 10th and we finish 11th would you find it embarrassing? We have a better squad in your opinion. Doesn’t make it true.
  4. That’s irrelevant. I wouldn’t take any Sheffield United players either and they’re 6th. It’s not good that we’re 16th in the league and we need to improve.. but this ‘embarrassing to be below Newcastle’ stuff is very childish in my opinion mate.
  5. I’ve popped in out of on topic today and all I see are negative posts and criticism from you. Who is it embarrassing for? I’m not embarrassed, I doubt the club, manager and players feel embarrassed. Does anyone apart from you feel embarrassed by the fact Newcastle (a team that has been in the top flight for the past 2 seasons) are above us? Question to other VT’s. Are you embarrassed?
  6. I was pleasantly surprised but ironically I do think it’s against the big teams we would miss Jack the least. It’s against teams around us that we need to win I think we could massively struggle without Jack. Especially at home when we need to try and break them down. So maybe one man team is harsh but I do think he would be the different between us winning games or not. Having said that you could argue Liverpool wouldn’t be where they are without Mane. Time and time again he is the difference between draw/defeat and 3 points. Had he not been on the pitch Saturday we would have won that game.
  7. The nationalisation of utility companies mate. It will be very costly and I fear also poorly run. I did take my statements back though as I appreciate they are unfounded.
  8. Fair enough but I’ll be honest. I find the manner of your posts a little rude and condescending. But FWIW according to an article in the Guardian the total cost of Labours pledges is circa 144 billion. Tories is circa 69 billion. Im not going to post the link because I don’t know how and I’m not going to post a spreadsheet with my workings because I can’t be bothered. I’m also not expressing my opinion or a claim or what I’m going to vote. I’m just stating what I read in The Guardian and why I said spending seems high. (Just google party pledges if you really care which article it was). So I’ll leave it at that if it’s ok with you? Good day to you sir.
  9. I had and I did. But it was just a general opinion on what it seemed to me. I didn’t expect such scrutiny so I would like to take it back. I will ensure I do thorough analysis before I post my opinions on how something seem to me in the future. You could just try and tell me why my assumptions of the pledges are incorrect if my so called claims bother you that much.
  10. Well I did actually say how costly they ‘seem’ rather than ‘were’. Didn’t think I made any claims. Sorry if it came across that way. Yes please do. General discussion rather than a debate.
  11. It’s only the corporation tax increase that for certain would affect me personally. I’m just having a general discussion. I haven’t gone in to detail and nor do I claim to have. I’m still far from deciding if I will bother voting and who I will vote for if I do. So I’m not going to do the highlighted part mate. Sorry. Well if Labour win the election (which I think they will). Hopefully it turns out to be a false narrative and Labour prove many people wrong.
  12. Yes. Whilst it doesn’t look great I doesn’t seem as far fetched as Labour. It definitely seems better for me personally.
  13. Exactly. Also reading through labours pledges they seem ridiculously costly. A lot of it seems unrealistic. I get people voting for Labour to keep us in the EU but I do fear for the state of the country in the coming years with Labour in charge.
  14. Labour will raise corporation tax from 19% to 26%. This is quite an increase and will affect SME’s quite a lot. The large corporations will continue to find loopholes and remain unaffected. This is one of the reasons I don’t want to vote for Labour. Perhaps this makes me selfish but a 7% increase is quite substantial for me personally.
  15. Fair point. But I feel like I work my ass off and pay a hell of a lot of tax as it is. I don’t want to pay more.
  16. Not surprised considering they’ve spent £500 million on it.
  17. Hopefully Wesley stays fit and starts banging in the goals so we don’t have to see Kodija on the pitch. He was only brought on because Wesleys legs had gone and theres no alternative. Haven’t we got any youth strikers we can call up instead?
  18. I like the optimism! Aim for 9 and we’ll hopefully get 6!
  19. He played well but still unfortunately cost us the game. Needs to learn from it.
