If his instructions were for our wingers not to track them I agree it’s on him. I just can’t believe he would have asked them to do that.
edit: guaranteed had he set us up to defend and we lost everyone would be complaining he was too negative
Apparently the club did try to sign other forwards. They didn’t make a decision for him to be our only striker signing. Just couldn’t land other targets.
Injuries derailed us and had no fight in first half. To be fair they are a much better team. Wingers just wouldn’t cover the runners though which was annoying.
Decent effort second half but damage already done. Might need to try and take a break from VT until Newcastle as there’s going to be a meltdown after this one.
They’d be screwed if they went down. Spent a hell of a lot of money over the years and I bet the wage bill is quite high too.
Couldn't happen to a nicer set of fans and owners of a club.
Sarri was doomed to fail as soon as he played probably the best defensive midfield in the world as an attacking midfielder. He persisted with it all season too!! Bonkers!
Southampton remind me of us when we went down. Just when we seemed to have bounced back from a poor performance we go and concede early next game. I think they’re going down.
Sheff United do not create that many chances and have been very clinical. They certainly know how to defend but I think eventually that lack of quality will be telling. Whether it’s fatigue or even confidence. They are 19th in shots stats with only the attacking maestro Bruce’s Newcastle having less.
A few defeats on the bounce and then let’s see how they cope. Starting with today.
Hats off to them though. Incredible start to the season.
Norwich the only promoted team not to invest in the summer so it’s no surprise they are the ones struggling the most. They will go down.
I also expect Sheffield United to hit a bit run of form sooner or later.
The way Netflix starts showing a clip of a program before you select it.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget that his name is Billy Kimber and he runs the races!
Maybe starting the season early has meant they have been slightly ahead of other teams in regards to peak fitness. Hence all the late goals. I think in the second half of the season all these games could really take its toll on them.
