  1. I personally don’t think you can mention them in the same sentance.
  2. I think he is too good for this to happen. Eventually he will move on but the main thing is we get big money for him and reinvest.
  3. In terms of thinking long term definitely. MON left us needed too much of a rebuild.
  4. Congratulations to Smith. Well deserved.
  5. Even though he starts on the left it’s not really his fixed position. He has a free role. Which is why it’s so important that whoever plays on the left of midfield is disciplined enough to cover him.
  6. It’s also entertaining to watch under Dean. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed watching us play this much in the top flight. Admit a lot of that is down to Jack who’s just a pleasure to watch but you can see how Smith wants the game to be played and we are in work in progress. The sellouts at nearly every game since last April show the fans have responded to this.
  7. Jack has been fine all season but when he was the middle he had to worry about the defensive side too much. Last season he didn’t need to due to weaker opposition. Now he has a free role and can do his thing with the security of Luiz, Hourihane and Nakamba covering the space he vacates or if he loses the ball. I think he would be a fine central midfield in a better team. But we need him to be the main man in an attacking sense.
  8. I like him a lot but I also think he can get a lot better. Talented player.
  9. Hard to believe this is a Man U team. What the hell happened to them?
  10. I know a Man U fan that still wants them to stick with OGS. Crazy! Im just glad he is still around for Sunday. To be fair they do seem to have a lot of injuries. It’s a very good time to play them. Looks like the keeper has hit form though so that will help them.
  11. I doubt they would get overwhelmed by the name I think it’s more the atmosphere. It’s what gives an average Man U team enough of a lift at home. Saying that the pacey front 3 can be quite useful too.
  12. Then between the 2 of us we’d have done quite well
  13. I think we’ll lose next two but beat Leicester. Actually scrap that. We’re getting something at Old Trafford too!
  14. Lads not sure if ever heard this at villa but heard something from a Leeds fan when you sing a players name to the tune of La Bamba. Then you say plays for the villa and change to the next player. Then you go on and on through the team. It would be brilliant and good fun. It would start with: Marvelous Nakamba, Marvelous Nakamaba, Marvelous Nakamba, plays with the Villa, Bjorn Engles. Bjorn Engels, Bjorn Engles, Bjorn Engles, plays for the Villa, Douglas Luiz....and so on. What you reckon?
  15. We got more January transfer threads than players. Surely it has to be Ronaldo?
  16. Off topic but it’s disgusting what is happening in Kashmir at the moment. Similar things happened in Punjabi and Delhi in the 80s. Many Sikhs have never forgiven the Indian government and never well.
  17. I think that’s down to our recruitment policy in general. Smith has talked a lot about the importance of personally and we’ve now got a team of players that will give everything for the cause. It’s so refreshing to see.
  18. I wonder if it’s a dilemma for a lot of Tory voters as a lot of them would ideally want to remain or negotiate a new deal but the alternative of a Labour Party would not suit them personally.
  19. They have beaten Leicester and Chelsea and got a point v Liverpool. Crowd massively help them but they are an average team in my opinion. We can defo give them a good game.
