Too lightweight in my opinion. Wes has shown in certain games like v Everton and Newcastle how much of a handful he can be. I’d stick with Wes over the crucial run against teams around us.

His confidence is clearly shot to bits. He will play from now until January because there is no alternative. Badly needs a goal to get some belief back. Hopefully starting Saturday.

Signings wise we need a striker. That’s plain to see. I don’t think the problem is our defence. The problem is how we are defending as a team. I think whilst it was nice to see us giving it a go against Leicester I think sometimes you have to just respect your opponent is much better than you and adjust accordingly. Park the bus and hit on break if you have to. We were so open it was a joke. Very fortunate to only concede 4.

I don’t agree with you sometimes. But this post, especially the part in bold is spot on! We really need to bounce back with a result against Sheffield United. The players looked demoralised yesterday against a very good Leicester team. It’s the first time I’ve seen them look like that.

Hate to say it but after what I saw to today I can’t argue with that. Thing is it’s easy to turn on the striker when the opposition is so much better than us. It will be interesting to see how Wesley does in the next 4 games.

People aren’t assuming we’ll beat them. People think we have a better chance of beating them so are not shitting themselves every time we lose a game against a better team. For me we are doing as well as I expected but if come January we are still in the same position I’ll be concerned. Until that point I’m still positive. I’m looking forward to you going quiet on this thread in January once we’ve pulled away from the bottom 3. You’ll hopefully have to find something else to complain about.

Dont see the need for repetitive posts of how crap he is but that’s just my opinion. I’m not saying people shouldn’t post their thoughts on him. Bit OTT to say he isn’t even a footballer but I guess it’s just exaggerating for effect After the Leicester game he has a run of games where I think he will have a big part to play in occupying defenders in very winnable games. Yes it’s the least a striker should do and we need goals from him blah blah blah but let’s face it there is no alternative. So instead of posting the same crap over and over again about how shit he is how about we just get behind him for a few weeks a least. I think we clearly know which VT’s do not rate the lad one bit and I respect that. I just don’t get the need for them to have to keep telling everyone over and over.

To be fair El Ghazi has had a year in this league. He really struggled when he first started. I think it takes a while to get up to speed with the speed and physical nature of this league. Wes I worry about. I like him but I’m not seeing that spark you see from a player that will really push on.

I think he needs to work on his pace and strength a bit. He has a lot of ability but lacks that yard of pace at times. I think he is one of those players that is very much a work in progress in this league. As are a few of them to be fair. He will get better but I don’t think we’ll see the best of him until next season.

He needs to get more involved. For about 40 minutes in the first half I forgot he was on the pitch. Fair play for the goal though. I like him and think he will keep improving but at the moment I can’t wait for El Ghazi to come back.

To be fair that’s probably the toughest opponents his faced in his career. It won’t be that hard every game. But I do think Engles is the better defender at the moment and will return. Konsa’s got a big future with us though.

Spirited performance but the best team won. They got some top players. Willian different class. Frustrating for Jack today, not enough quality around him. Luiz should start away from home. Wesley really struggles as a lone striker. Heaton man of the match. Some fantastic saves. All in all not too disappointed. Hoping for a win on Sunday.

Obviously hate seeing us lose but would take a good performance and a respectful defeat in this one. Sunday is the big one for me.
