True but Balaban didn’t even play. He cost us a lot of money but he didn’t affect the team as we had other strikers. Collymore was our missing link to challenge for the title. He played no matter what and stunk the place out eventually getting Little the sack. Gregory was able to drop him as had no obligation to start him. Going back on topic, it’s unbelievably clear Wesley is struggling. Boy does he need some decent support. I’d consider starting Kodija Saturday. The other day was the most I’ve seen him run in years. Actually looked quite sharp.

I still think the worst signing we ever made in terms of expectancy and negative impact on a good team and manager was Stan Collymore. But that’s for another topic.

Well if the problem is the manager and not the players then a new manager should be able to turn around a 6-7 point deficit.

I think we’re in trouble but they’ll be 3 worse teams than us this season. It may even go to the wire. Not sure sacking Smith would help things though.

I think if we don’t get at least 4 points from the next 3 games the board will have to make a decision. Every game is difficult in this league but once you start losing or dropping points to teams around you at home then the writings on the wall. We must beat Norwich now. No other result will be acceptable.

I personally think it’s down to the players. You lose Mcginn and Mings and your severely weakened. It very much showed. I just don’t think we’re good enough.

I think we’re massively missing Mings leadership quality. It’s no coincidence we’ve conceded 8 since he went off injured.

Haha come on. You acting like Benteke is finished as a player. He still gets a lots of minutes for Palace. He is just desperate for a goal. Once one goes in the floodgates will open.

The only reason I would have Bentake on loan is because footballs a funny old game. He’s goals kept us up 3 seasons in row. You just know just if he joined us his goals with keep us up again!

I’ll have to watch it back to comment. We had 43% and 4 attempts to their 5. Although non on target. So whilst maybe not park the bus it does sound like a poor performance.

To be honest I didn’t. I just see you grabbing any chance you can go have a go at Smith and felt compelled to respond. I’m pretty sure you’ve spoken about us being too attacking in this league many times. Now you’ve having a go because we were too defensive. When you go quiet it means we are winning games. Really hope you go quiet for the next 2 weeks

I’d take Bentake on loan until the end of the season. Our situation is desperate.

I don’t rate Kodija but it’s clear Wesley is having a hard time of things. I’d say start Kodija and haul him off after 60 minutes or so if it’s clear he offers nothing against PL opponents. Best case he surprises everyone and excels. Worst case he quietens a few fans that seem to have turned on Smith for persisting with Wesley.

A Pedro move would depend on if he prefers to play football for a team struggling or sit on the bench for the rest of the season. I doubt he will get a big move in January.
