A week ago some fans wrote on here if Smith carries on starting Wes we will get relegated. He starts and has a great game and now this. Its a funny old game.
Feel for the kid. He was having a great game too. Hopefully he can recover well and and come back stronger.
In terms of the loss to Villa it’s probably hasn’t made too much different to our transfer activity. Let’s be honest he was struggling and we badly needed a striker to take the pressure off Wes. I guess we may need two now. Plus a keeper.
Some big decisions to be made in January by the club. How much can they realistically spend after the summer. How many decent loan moves are out there?
Celebrity Jungle is horrible. I don’t get why anybody wants to watch washed up celebrities do f**ked up things.
Not sure how unpopular this opinion is though...
I still can’t get over that catch. To be fair he has looked decent last few games although not overly tested. I never believed he could be as shit as last season suggested, his confidence was just shot to bits.
Hopefully he can turn out ok.
That’s because Hogan seemed to try. He was just crap. Kodija has ability, He just seems disinterested far too often and that’s hard for fans to forgive. Also it can’t be past off as his style because when he is on his game and up for it he makes an impact. It just doesn’t happen anywhere near enough.
The thing is the fact he looked sharp against Norwich proves what we saw Saturday wasn’t a fitness issue. For whatever reason he just wasn’t interested.
I was actually more optimistic after the Southampton game. He was pressing, working the line and wanted the ball. He looked sharp. It probably helped that Southampton were 3-0 up and sat deep.
Anyway I guess it was a false dawn.
You make it sound like it’s a mystery why that is?
Twice I’ve seen him come on this season when we need to protect a lead in crucial games. Twice he has just jogged around the pitch. Made poor decisions and just generally looked completely off the pace and uninterested. He needs to be sold.
Yes I do know. He is not going to leave a reported £27,000 a week after tax salary to get paid for when he plays. Plus he apparently got paid a 1.8 million sign on fee.
Do any players actually accept pay as you play deals?
That’s contributing to more than half of Hulls goals. They will struggle without him.
But do they cash in now or lose him on a free at the end of the season...
edit: just read Hull have the option to extend the contract by another year. Doubt they’ll let him move in January unless it’s for a very large fee.
Somebody mentioned that you should look at the form table just as much as teams current position when gaging their strength. I agree.
Everybody was understandably upset by the way we lost to Watford and Southampton who were both behind us in the table at the team but both teams are at the upper end in the form table now. I reckon they’ll both probably stay up as well.
There will be plenty more twists from now until the end of the season. I just wonder how much losing Heaton will affect us.
