I can’t work out if the second goal was unstoppable. Nyland seemed to get his angles wrong. Maybe I’m being harsh but I reckon Heaton would have saved that.
Wes had to be replaced regardless of the injury. What it does mean is the new striker now needs to come in sooner than anticipated and he will have Davis as competition rather than Wesley.
He’s third choice because he was a disaster. He was bought in as first choice and say what you want about Bruce, he is pretty good in the transfer market so must have saw something in the lad. I think he can step up.
He actually says he is meeting with Suso and Christian to discuss how the injuries change the plans and to speed things up. No mention of meeting owners.
I think the second goal shows how much belief he now has in himself. In the past he would laid that off or tried a curling effort. This time he just smashed it home.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he started scoring free kicks next.
If any club in a relegation battle lost their first and second choice keeper and their main striker you would fancy them for the drop. We’re second favourites for relegation now. Really is horrible luck.
And that’s after having a shocking start to his villa career and then a terrible injury before being replaced by a new 7m keeper. It seemed he would never play for Villa again.
Alan Hutton is no longer with us and his prophecy of scoring in the playoff final turned out to be a false one.
Nyland to keep us is in the Premier League is the true prophecy!!
Nah of cause not. I’m just saying it’s sod’s law. Some fans desperately wanted him out the team for the next game and now it’s actually happened for the rest of the season.
