Exactly. Take away City, Liverpool and maybe Leicester games I fancy us to try and get something from the remaining games. We really could do with Villa Park being a fortress though.

I have It on good authority Bielsa was prepared to leave the club if they sold Philips. Smith was not overruled.

Financially speaking I do wonder what the situation will be regarding ffp if we get relegated. I guess big money sales such as Grealish will probably sort it out.

Would probably depend on how he did for the rest of the game. Heaton was a close second for motm that game. The team was truly awful.

Reduce the wage bill maybe? They spent a lot in the summer.

Most of our Fringe players are from last season or have been signed as squad players. It just shows how hard the job was for the club this summer. Jack and Mcginn aside we all knew there wasn’t enough quality. Smith and co have had a to build a completely new squad to try and keep us up. At the moment we’re on track but it’s a tall order. Would be an amazing achievement.

Fair enough. It wasn’t a criticism of the Nyland. More a reflection on what top keepers may be capable of but you can never really appreciate it until they are no longer in goal.
