Or in recent history a League 2 team knocks out a Premier League team in a 2 leg semi final. We will probably lose tonight but we just need to keep the score down and then really go for it at home. Away goals only count after extra time so not so important as they are in Europe.

I know mate. I’ve read enough of your posts to know you wouldn’t be defending Hogan At least with the players mentioned you can kind of understand why clubs would take a chance on them. The move for Hogan was scandalous. Bit harsh on Santa Cruz though I think. Didnt he do well at Bayern and Blackburn? Man City was a step to far. 112 caps for Paraguay too.

At least all those strikers did it at the highest level and for a whole season. Hogan had 3 good months in the championship and got a 9 million pound move. Complete madness.

True. To be fair West Ham are only one point ahead of us and he would have Haller to compete with too. For us he plays every game from now until end of season in the most high profile league in the world just before the Euros. But I think the lure of London is always a massive factor though.

I’m more than happy for the club to spend another 25m or so on a striker but I really hope they know what they are doing with all this big spending in the event that we still go down.
