  1. Why are some people so pessimistic? Last time i looked we had won 2 out the last 3 and were 17th. Yes we may slip in to the bottom 3 tomorrow but there’s still just over half a season to go and Mings is back. Keep the faith people.
  2. To be fair Spurs and I guess no other team in the league started the summer with only 2 players good enough to start games in the whole squad. If we only had a few gaps to fill and started the season with only Wesley it would be unforgivable. But considering we had a whole team to build surely we can be a little bit more understanding?
  3. I’d say mistake in the sense of for 22M and our main striker we really needed someone to hit the ground running. That’s no fault of Wesleys of course.
  4. Come on mate you know it’s a dig. If they have to sign 12 players for 120 odd million I doubt everyone of them would be a hit. Nakamba and Trez for what has been spent is not amazing but not disaster signings either. Wes does appear was a mistake. Anyway good luck to them.
  5. Firstly let’s see if they even come up. Secondly they will probably then realise how much harder It is too find players that can play the premier league. They have a great recruitment team. Don’t see why it has to be a reason to have a dig at ours.
  6. Oh didnt realise that. So it’s all about the league games.
  7. We all know we don’t need players in for tomorrow. It’s a free hit. We do need players in for the three 6 pointer games that follow.
  8. Our man just scored. Brilliantly worked free kick. I think Brentford will come up.
  9. You’re right. I think Smith was a bit stubborn in trying to keep his team playing a certain way and not accepting their limitations. Maybe the players just aren’t as good as he thinks they are or they show a lot more in training? We all spoke about how we didn’t want another manager that resorted to a defensive negative approach like Lambert did to keep us up. I think now we need to accept until we have better players, there is no alternative.
  10. My biggest concern about these debates are they feel like deja vu. We literally have the same arguments about a particular position and the clubs lack of signings every window and two often the window closes and we’re still light. Hopefully come February 1st we are all happy.
  11. To be fair our striker situation has looked bleak since the season started and now after injuries looks shambolic. You can to an extent defend the recruitment team for the summer as pretty much a whole squad had to be bought in so there was always a chance areas didn’t get filled. We can also defend them now as we all know it’s difficult to sign players in January and we’d rather we did it late than did it incorrectly. BUT if his month ends and we are still seriously light in the striker position for players or quality. Then serious questions about our recruitment surely have to be asked?
  12. Would be harsh to drop Nyland after his last game but Reina’s a top keeper. Interesting to see what happens.
  13. I agree. But as long as we can sort the situation before the window closes I think we’ll be ok.
  14. I agree. Ultimately though it will come down to where we finish at the end of the season. If we go down it will be the striker situation that will have cost us and that’s where the club has blundered. If we stay up then I guess they knew what they were doing...
  15. VAR’s a f**king disgrace. Or the rules they are using with it are anyway. Really is ruining the game. Good result for us though. Keeper injury could be costly for West Ham too. Can’t believe Sheff United are 5th!
  16. You’re right. Didn’t notice that one. Blackpool had 2 game’s in hand too. Thinking back they had a lot of fans because of the way they tried to play open attacking football. In the end it got them relegated.
  17. I saw him do a scissor kick volley earlier in the season. It went inches wide but it was vintage Benteke. Not many could have pulled off technique like that. Had it gone in he would have been back big time. It’s coming.
  18. Loan with an option to tell him to f**k off at the end of the season. Seriously though, this ain’t happening. But just imagine if it did....
  19. On man so many prophecy’s. First Nyland then this. There’s no way we’re going down!
  20. All valid points. We are a big club. However if we’re such a big club. Where’s the bloody signings!!?? But tbf I know there’s still 3 weeks to go. I’m sure we’ll be fine.
  21. No team in a relegation scrap will be able to sign proven quality in January. But there are a lot of players in Europe’s big leagues on shitty wages that would jump for a chance to play in the Premier League. They would probably even play the Championship. They are all a risk though.
  22. How about wait until the end of the month before having a moan about him?
