I just watched the way the players celebrated that final goal a few times. Nobody can ever say these players don’t care. Target was going nuts. Best way to win a game.

Deeney won headers against him all first half, it was a clear issue and looked like something Watford had worked on. Even if he tracked him Deeney would still have scored. In the second half a centre half started picking him up.

Would depend on his fitness. Only played 7 games this season. Last thing we need is another midfield getting up to speed. Even at 33 he is a very good player though.

If you ignore the city game since we went to a back 3 we have conceding 3 in 3 and have a goal difference of +2. It has definitely made us harder to beat. It’s probably the way we’ll set up for the rest of the season now.

That’s what I thought at the time but when watching it again it seemed he had plenty of time to try to move his arm and left it there deliberately. He admitted it himself afterwards that it should have been a yellow card.

Could really do with 3 home wins today. All 3 teams will be looking to bounce back from disappointing results on the weekend.

I was disappointed with this too. Can’t be easy to hear so many moans and groans whenever you play the ball. We need to really get behind our players more as you can’t question the effort.

Have you noticed how in the last 2 games he hasn’t actually had that much to do whereas it felt like Heaton was constantly making saves. I wonder if him organising the defence has helped with this? Or more likely it’s the fact we now have a back 3.

It didn’t look like that kind of tackle to me mate. It was just slow and wreckless. Maybe you’re right though. Only he will know.

Reina’s quality but he got away with one second half. The double save was good but he should have been catching that cross and Deeney probably should have scored. Still great to have this guy in goal for the rest of the season. Our recruitment team get a lot of stick on here. It’s shame they are not getting praise for this signing as it’s quite a coup really.

I thought he looked off the pace personally. But it probably didn’t help that we had 2 defensive midfields and a back 3 yet were trying to break through 9 men behind the ball. It was always going to be difficult for him.

He did take out a player but that was definitely a mistimed challenge. It was like me at 5 aside trying to tackle one of the younger players. My head thinks I can win the ball but my body seems to move in slow motion.
