    Mon signed 4 strikers in his 3 years at the club and 3 of them were Sutton, Harewood and Heskey! He then went to Sunderland and signed fletcher and Graham for 20 million. Crazy!

    Agree Luiz seems more effective coming off the bench but I didn’t see the highlighted part. I thought he look way off the pace and playing him alongside Nakamba made us too defensive against a team that had parked the bus. We created nothing. Having said that I saw improvements in his last game and can see that if he got up to speed he would be valuable to us. My only worry is he looks so off the pace he may need half a season to get back to his best.

    He is a signing for the future but it’s very unluckily he will play a part this season. So in terms of signings we need to help keep us up you can’t really considering him one of those.

    Apparently all the big Portuguese teams are after Medhi Teremi. He also apparently took a massive pay cut to join Rio Ave so has the right attitude and ambition.

    In the first half when they had 9 players behind the ball for the whole half. We had to commit players forward eventually or were never going to break them down. I see where you’re coming from though.

    We won’t concede as many goals with this new formation. But we won’t create as many chances in open play either, especially at home against teams that setup defensively. I think it’s the right approach. Every point is crucial. We’re not good enough to out score teams so we need to just be tight and try and take chances when they come. Also be a lot better from set pieces too. The winner against Watford showed what we should be doing with 3 centre halves in the box for set pieces. It’s a shame Reina can’t take our corners.
