    Liverpool will most likely already be champions by the time we play them so will be resting players for Champions League and FA cup games.

    There’s been games this season where we’ve wanted it more. Normally at home with the crowd behind the players. For example Everton and Newcastle. Doesn’t make us better than those teams. It’s just how it is sometimes.

    As expected after every lose we’re doomed and going down and Smith should be sacked etc etc. What’s even worse is no game now until16th now so we’ll have 2 weeks of this over the top bollocks. I’ll see you all Monday when people have calmed down.

    Benrahma hatrick.Really wish we had signed him. Such a talent. If Brentford come up they’ll be able to keep him for another year.

    Good Luck to him. With the right coaching and fitness training he has a change to re-ignite his career.

    I think Suso has signed a lot of players with scope for improvement. The problem is we needed more players to hit the ground running. The improvement can be seen each game though and if we can stay up and some how keep Jack(or least spend the money from his sale one 1 or 2 players). There is good potential to really kick on.

    yes you could argue that could have happened and if we hadn't won the game we probably all would have been. But we'll never know so its all hypothetically. When dealing with facts its turns out Smiths decisions got us 3 points. Ultimately thats all that counts.

    McGinn has unbelievable potential but he is nowhere near Maddisons level at the moment in time. Plus they are different types of players. McGinn does have everything in his locker to be a top player though.

    I think its good game management because he saw something wasn't working and corrected it and li lead to a victory from being behind. Lets just say hypothetically speaking Luiz did start but Watford still had everyone behind the ball and we didn't break them down for 60 minutes. We're still 1-0 down. Luiz by then was legging so no longer could get forward as much. So what does he do? Pointless bringing on Drinkwater because he is too defensive. He could go Hourihane but he's very hit and miss. Luiz is a very good option to change a game. It does feel at times fans find it really hard to give credit to Smith when we win but are really quick to get the knives out when we don't. (Not aiming that at you).

    I don’t actually think he did play well. We were 1-0 down and didn’t register a shot on target. Yes we looked compact but we had zero attacking threat with him and Nakamba both holding against a team with 9 men behind the ball. Smith does deserve credit for changing it though.

    Whilst we all understandably wanted more I think the business has been ok and quite prudent. We just need our key players to stay fit for the next 6 months now.

    Maybe he didn’t have the right character for us. You have to question the ambition of a player that moves to China whilst at the peak of their career. Also for all of Taylor’s faults we still need him as cover for Targett.
