    I don’t think he has that extra yard of pace you need to be successful in this league. I think he would thrive in the championship though. I think if we stay up we’ll probably loan him out to get regular football.

    Doubt city will be in a position to spend 20 million plus on squad players next season. They got some key positions to fill.

    Why does everyone seems to think this about every one of our players. There’s no way we’re selling him if we go down if we have plans to come straight back up. In fact Jack aside I don’t think any player will leave.

    I may be wrong but I don’t think we have any players that age playing for the U23’s do we? They are all out on loan.

    I don’t think we will beat Southampton and Newcastle away. Would take a point from both. Don’t write off points against Man U and Liverpool. Especially as the latter will have won the league and potentially have 2 champions league quarter final games either side of playing us. Also I think we can beat anyone at home on our day.

    Didn’t realise 34 points kept teams up! What a massive few months. With the Premier League wrapped up all the media attention will be on the relegation battle.

    Exactly. It was either act quickly or risk not even being able to field a full team for the opening game of the season. I think a lot of people have forgotten how many players we had at the start of the summer. People seem to forget quickly in football.

    You could always see that raw talent though. I said at the time and after he left he was going to be a star one day. Too much ability not to be.

    Is anyone very confident we will stay up? It’s just so tight! I’m hanging on to the fact the teams around us just keep dropping points. I actually think a record points low at 17th could keep a team up this season.

    City could have and should have won by a lot more. Would have helped us in terms of goals difference. Jesus should have had a hatrick.

    Incredible to see how well Gollini is doing. I always thought he was a decent keeper he was just thrown in to a difficult situation way too early in his career.

    Even if we go down I think we’ll keep Mings and McGinn for a year.

    I actually think Man U will get top 4. Chelsea look to have imploded and Spurs aren’t have lost Kane and Son. Maybe wolves have an outside chance.

    Fair enough. Jacks pretty unique and to have a chance of signing anything near him we’d have to spend at least 30m plus per player. Stay up and we can potentially do that. In the summer we just needed 2 many players so was impossible. Wesley and Mings were our only big money signings really. The former disappointed but the later is worth more than we paid for him already.

    Nothing to show for it? We’ve built a premier league squad that will hopefully keep us up and has got to a Cup final. Hardly nothing to show for it!! I wish people would start forgetting we had 2 first team players after promotion!

    If we stay up and the club is put for up for sale. Wouldn’t the owners already make a significant return on their investment? Genuine question.

    Me too. Surely even in training they can see how off the pace Drinkwater is. How long do we have to suffer so he can get game time and up to speed?
