I thought he was as poor as the rest second half. A few times we were in promising positions when a pass was on and he tried to do it himself instead giving the ball away leaving us exposed and hit on the break. It wasn’t a captains display at all in terms of trying to lift the players either. I get he must be frustrated but we can’t have him losing his head.
Hopefully it was very much a one off.
Maybe but how high could they have been? Surely not much higher than what we agreed to pay all the other signings that summer and Terry/Snodgrass the summer after.
No heart. No fight. No ability. No shape. No plan. No idea.
That was a bad as it gets. Play like that next week and we could be looking at a record scoreline for a final.
No away clean sheet all season = they keep a clean sheet
Worst away record in league = easy win
cant score from corners = they scores 2 from corners
This is Southampton
True but it was very bad shortsighted business in my opinion. We signed a 19 year player with ridiculous potential for about 7m and then a year later switched him for a championship standard player in his late 20s.
We got robbed.
My 5 year old kid is always watching people playing Mario games on YouTube. I heard this is the latest craze. Anyway I’m thinking instead of watching random people playing these games she may as well watch me play them instead. Spend quality time together
So anyway I’m guessing all these Mario Olympic Games are on the switch so I’ll have to get one.
edit: didn’t realise they were that expensive! Next Christmas it is.
If the price was right then of course. Letting Adama and Ayew go in exchange for Adomah and Taylor was criminal. Just sums up how what a bunch of clowns were running the club at the time.
True but the players we let go wernt up for the fight in the Premier League never mind the championship. Our club was toxic from top to bottom. I’d like to think it’s lot more unified now.
I actually don’t think we are that bad with the ball. It’s without it we are shocking. We get split open with ease and the defenders panic like crazy whenever a cross comes in. Without Mings they do anyway.
We’re just good not good enough to play a high line against the better teams.
I’m not sure mate. I think Mings genuinely loves the club and would give us a year. Luiz the same. Also if they want to leave the club will ask for big money which could price them out of moves. I mentioned earlier city need some players for key positions. They won’t spend 20m + (assuming that’s there buy back amount) on a squad player.
Remember when Newcastle went down under Rafa. They pretty much held on to the whole squad and came straight back up even stronger than before. I think we would do the same.
We struggle against teams that have the fans behind them. They seem to want it more. But I hear that isn’t the case with Southampton and the atmosphere can be quite toxic? Maybe that will help. Especially if we take the lead.
