Is it fair to say that in the next week or 2 the majority of the people that have the coronavirus (not including key workers) will be the people that ignored the rules?
Or is that way too simplistic?
Talking of the change in pollution from a city in Punjab, India you are now able to clearly see the Himalayas in the distance over 200 miles away. It’s an incredible sight. Apparently it’s the first time they have been seen in over 30 years. Article
I suppose it’s not like Liverpool fans are going to stop supporting them over this and every other fan hates the club anyway.
It would be interesting if their fans turned on them over it though.
They don’t have to but in terms of publicity and the potential impact of bad publicity I think they have made the wrong call with this one. How much will it really have cost them to cover then salaries in relation to the kind of the money the club makes?
Bit harsh to blame the whole club. This would have come from the current owners and those running the club. They hardly represent the whole of Liverpool.
Whilst it hurts us all to admit or ever say it. We all know they are a great club. But they are definitely run by scumbags.
Cup competitions I think we can consider scrapped. Only issue remaining are the leagues. I still think they should just give the title Liverpool and void the rest.
He’s been fined. Really he should probably be stripped of his captaincy. He’s not proven to be a good role model.
Having said all that I think I was a bit harsh with my comments about him yesterday. A lot of these players know nothing but football. They haven’t had much of an education and are not really clued up how to conduct themselves in life. I know clubs to try to implement some sort of education for younger players but when you have to spend that much of your youth playing football other aspects of your character will always suffer. Jack probably thought what he did wasn’t a big deal. Like many footballers he probably lacks a bit of awareness in how a person should conduct themselves.
I personally think that’s one of the reasons why there are not many British Asians in the game. They would never be allowed to sacrifice study for the amount of football that needs to be played to have any chance of making it at a high level. That’s for another topic though.
I didn’t meant it that way. What I meant was I don’t care about Jack the person. I don’t care about any of the villa team as people. What’s the point of going on and on about it?
How much further should he be punished? What would you like to see happen?
Yeh he’s f**ked up and has been punished. Pretty much everyone has condemned him for it. As far as am I concerned he is a scumbag just like the guys that did a lock-in in a pub near me the other day. But the fact I don’t care about Jack the person is why I’m over it.
What more do you want people to do?
edit: if it someone I admired as a person had done that I would be a lot more upset about it.
Sometimes you have to detach your self from the human aspect of the player and just go by his footballing ability.
I think Jack the person is an idiot and I couldn’t give two shits about him or what he does when he’s not on the pitch.
Jack the footballer is quality and makes the team I watch a much better team.
I want Jack to continue playing in that team. You don’t have to like or admire the person to enjoy his football. That’s why people want to move on.
It sounds like he can’t get done for drink driving now. I reckon he will get done for leaving the scene of an accident though. I assume that’s pretty serious? 12 points and a fine?
