We did and we also had no midfield. I can’t see any current premier league team paying that for him this summer. Maybe a European team will attempt a loan with a clause to buy?

I like Luiz. Think he is a good player with bags of potential. But how many teams would honestly pay 20m plus for him ? Would he improve any of the current premier league teams that much?

I disagree. Expect him to eventually be at a top 4 club.

They’ve got other more important areas to fill such as a new striker and a new centre half. I don’t think they will spend 30 million on Luiz just yet.

I’d say Benrahma is a good example too. Class act that is going to have a massive future. Brentford valuation didn’t get met so he didn’t go anywhere. Now they are looking very likely to be promoted and he has played a massive part in that.

I’m normally positive. But let’s be realistic. We know there ain’t a chance in hell we are staying up!

Sorry i thought we were talking about current top 6. Spurs we should have got something out of both games against them.

Liverpool aside which we got a lot of credit for. When did we play well and narrowly lose against a top 6 side? edit: I get where you are coming from though. I just think we’ve been comfortabley beaten in most games against top 6 teams this season. City away was a decent effort to be fair.

Didn’t see Arsenal game but the stats look like it was a bit of a smash and grab. 32% possession, 2 shots on target, 2 goals. Liverpool 9 shots on target.

A hell of a lot of fans were very vocal about the loan market being used to develop other teams players. Whilst nobody wants to see us do that if it means the difference between relegation or staying up I think the idea should at least be considered. Purslow seems like the type of guy that ensures he always says what’s the fans want to hear. Wouldn’t suprise me if it was ultimately his decision that there would be no loan signings. He seems to make it quite clear we wouldn’t loan players anymore. Id be suprised if Smith supported it. As a coach you would want to coach the best players regardless of if are on loan or not. I bet he wouldn’t have been complaining about having Tammy and Axel in the team last season.

Maybe for his position. The player recognised as the best are normally the games changers like Benrahma and Pereira.

Because I know you have also lived here and it’s the only country I have ever lived in so it’s a comparison I could understand. Apart from the right wing government and the racists that put them in to power it does sound great to be fair. edit: btw not being sarcy. Genuinely sounds like a really nice place to live.
