Come on, he came back from a broken ankle which ended up with 6 months or so without football. I think he’s been a big players for us.

Can’t underestimate how much we’ve missed his big arse. Had he not got injured I reckon we’d have already been safe.

I don’t think it would matter. More important would be key players are fit. However they have a ok squad so players they bring in should still give Watford a game.

I wanted to have both games on at the same time but I’ve only got BT sport on an app so it would lag the Watford game. So I guess I’ll just watch the villa game and refrain from looking at my phone throughout.

There’s certain players that will always start in the final. My worry is they will not be involved.

I think he’s gone no matter what the outcome. But it’s normal, there’s no team in the world apart from maybe Real Madrid and Barcelona that haven’t at one stage lost a player to a bigger club. It’s not like Southgate joining Middlesbrough because they apparently had more ambition. We’re talking about one of the best players we’d had in a very long and one that can and needs to be playing at the highest level. The most important thing is getting good money for him and reinvesting it. When he leaves I personally hopes he goes to City. Would love to see how he played in that team. There’s life beyond Jack.

For me too much gets made of his In game changes and tactics. When we win they were good, when we lose the were poor. If that header that hit the post went in the fans would have found a way to blame his tactics or substitutions. The same way they did against Everton when I thought we played well and lost the 3 points due to a defensive lapse. Its such fine margins in this league.

He was only assistant manager of one of the best clubs in Europe for 3 years. You’d be disappointed if Dean couldn’t tactically beat this rookie.

It’s bizarre. Especially during a time when there’s a whole worldwide movement to try and eradicate racism. A movement which I believe he is very supportive of. He’s destroyed everything he has built in a few moments of madness.

I remember one game we ended up with 4 RB’s at the back . I think it was Bruce’s last game.(Counting Tuanzbe as a rb at the time as that’s where he had started most games).

It was and Bruce was making all sorts of noises about how he was staying with the club like a hero. After the takeover everything changed. I reckon he knew his days were numbered and he was no longer needed or wanted. He let Steer and Green go too. Green maybe understandable but the former played a massive part in the promotion push. Anyway this debate has been done to death so leave it there.

Can’t you see he left us weak in defence and signed a lot of attacking players as a reaction to the criticism he was too defensive? Which highly rated manager starts the season with one half fit centre half and a second centre half played at right back? I personally think he engineered his own sacking and if people don’t believe that then they must think he is a really shit manager. I actually think he’s a decent manager that would never start a season with a team that weak at the back unless he no longer gave a shit.
