  1. An Arsenal fan in one of the box's celebrated a bit too much and a villa fan climbed and punched him. Stupid really because that fan can probably never go to Villa Park again.
  2. Okore has been injured for nearly a year. I'm sure we're just easing him back in. Throwing him into a huge game like this probably isn't the best way to do that. I wasn't saying he should have played. I was asking what has happened to him. He doesn't seem to be featuring at all.
  3. Con sometimes I think you do it on purpose.
  4. Yet some will still tell you he is over rated.
  5. What has happened to Okore? Surely Clark is our 5th choice centre half?
  6. Fair comments trent - there have been several mistakes regarding itk but I can honestly say they were all in good faith - no doubt still a mistake as they put the reputation of the site at stake and many founding members have since departed. I personally find this site a good one and know many people on TBAR use this forum too- there is no problem using both and not resorting to slagging off the other - the Internet is a big place and we can all choose where we wish to read information without the need for abuse - I have many times praised villatalk on TBAR myself . Now let's all have a big group hug and get behind the Villa!
  7. With all the due respect to any one that has a phobia of Islam but what does it say about a person that has based an opinion on the second largest religion in the world because of a few fanatics and the media that is desperate to make them look bad.
  8. I've always said he has all the ability to be a top defender but just lacks the brains. If with time he can use his head for more than putting it in front of balls then he could have a very good career.
  9. Cahill was clearly the next John Terry. We all saw it, I remember telling all my friends how good he is and how he will captain England one day. We could all see he was special. Why the **** couldn't MON see this!?!?!?
  10. Yeh but if a massive club comes calling for you and are ready to pay big money, are you really going to think I'm not going to play much because I'm not good enough really? Milner may well have gone for the money but surely he would have had belief in his own ability to claim a place in the team? As it turned out he isn't good enough for where they want to be but surely he had to try?
  11. Based on the vast majority of academy players that come through the ranks, and fail, I just don't agree with this. Quite shocking how many supposedly talented youth players we've had who just have not developed once they hit the first team: Gabby, weimann to an extent, you could argue Barry as he came at such a young age, vassell? Who else really? We produce a lot of potential yet the clubs ability to maximise that is nothing short of abysmal in all honesty. As opposed to signing for a so called "big club"? Rodwell and Sinclair are two examples of chasing money rather than having the urge to play and become better. Jack is at the perfect place for his development, he will be given the opportunity to shine consistently here like many others have in the recent past. He will have the chance to shine because if he is good enough he will play. But this could also go the other way if the last two seasons are anything to go by. If we begin to struggle then so will he. That is not an ideal situation for any player new to this league let alone an 19 year old with massive expectations placed on him. We've had a good start to the season and the squad seems stronger so hopefully he can be eased in. But I do not agree that a relegation battling team is an ideal place for a young players development.
  12. Yep, nothing like a relegation scrap every year to enhance your career Seriously, what is the point of just constantly slagging off the club? We're much better for him to develop at than if he did go to a big club like Chelsea. He'll get some decent gametime this season I'm sure. How on earth is that slagging off the club? I didn't say Villa is a bad place to develop but how on earth can somebody say there is no place better. Talk about exegarating.
  13. Yep, nothing like a relegation scrap every year to enhance your career
  14. Ok I think I got confused. But the Sunni Muslim population of the world far far exceeds the Shia population right? Which I where I guess Iran comes in?
  15. So the way I understand it is that Sadam was toppled by the west and a Shia Goverment was put in place? The Shia Goverment and minority Shia people then begin to persecute the majority Sunni. An almost role reversal of when Sadam was in charge. This along with the Syria conflict led to the creation of an extremist Sunni Muslim organisation which is IS? So the west created a 'monster' and now are trying to destroy it? So what will be created next? Is any of the above accurate albeit very simplistic?
  16. I've only seen glimpses but there is definetly something special about Grealish and we will lose him one day but please not yet.
  17. Pretty sure he's already paid more than Benteke and Vlaar, he's one of the top earners at the club. 55k Hairy hands released a list of players wages before he got pulled into line. Think him doing that was the straw that broke the camels back. Gabby was highest on 60k. If Bentake is on 55K then I'm convinced there must be a reasonable release clause. We know he has the potential to be a great player and will earn mega bucks one day. When he is banging in goals in the Champions League and on the World stage we will say he was one of ours once.
  18. Depends how good he is. But I agree a move like that is way too early.
  19. I kind of expect Vlaar to leave. I'm quietly confident Delph might sign a new contract but he will get a lot of exposure now and no doubt his wage demands will reflect this. Could be a problem for a club up for sale and second lowest spenders in the league this summer. If Grealish leaves on a free I give up.
  20. One miss timed tackle and he was off. Had that happened Hodgson would have got slaughtered for not taking him off.
  21. For all of the fans that are happy Delph had a good game. You do realise this is the beginning of the end of his Villa career if he continues to play well for England? I personally hope the haters get their way and he isn't a starter every game. Villa is more important than England for me. He had a point though. When did he get sent off? Really? He did two reckless challenges in the first few minutes so had to play the rest of the game on a yellow. If he was taken off at half time it would have been understandable.
  22. Please don't go, please don't go. DELPH, We love you so, and we want you to know. Please don't go!!!!
