    Have you taken into consideration that he himself wants to leave? Or that he won't sign a new contract effectively forcing us to sell him now or lose value? The majority of fans are not 'happy' to see him go, but recognise that we might be forced to sell him.

    According to online sources (which may or may not be correct), Tielemans and Kamara are on £150,000 p/w and Luiz is on £75,000 p/w. £150,000 ÷ 2 = £75,000

    This is the most simple explanation IMO. His contract is up in two years, he's our best midfielder and is earning half of what Kamara and Tielemans are on. All this is, is his agent stoking the flames to get him a better deal.

    There is no group stage in the new format, it's a league now and we have 8 games minimum, that is the campaign, anything after that is a bonus.

    Doubt this has anything to do with money for him, he never placed any bets so gained nothing from it. Not saying he's innocent but for all we know he's been pressured into doing it.

    It was reported at the time that there was no release clause. So we won’t be selling for less than the market value, if he’s being sold at all that is.
