Seen on Twitter that City have a 20% sell on clause, surely that's expired since he started a new contract? If so, would explain why we might be doing a "swap deal".

We don't need "hard cash" our owners are loaded and don't need money, they're prevented from putting money in because of PSR. The value of the players in the swap deal are included to help with PSR, so it doesn't matter if we have a player worth £25m or £25m in money, it's the same thing in PSR terms.

Maybe not, i wonder if we're interested in any other of their players. That Maatsen looks a player and Dortmund seem reluctant to pay the asking price, would be an great replacement for Moreno.

We'll see a lot more like this with Monchi, buy young and cheap, sell for profit. Wouldn' surprise me if the likes of Nedjelkovic is sold on at some point, unless he's exceptional and nails a spot.

I can't see it personally, not the way modern football is played. He would have been a world beater if he played during the late 90s/early 00s though.

Success does earn you wiggle room. Chelsea have won 6 premier leagues and two champions leagues the past 20 years, along with numerous fa and league cups. Hence why they have wiggle room.

What’s stopping two teams selling each other a player for the same price, and then amortising the fees? Another way around PSR?
