We've been linked with McKennie before, Emery appears to like him, and Iling-Junior looks to have a very high ceiling. We're still restricted by the UEFA squad costs, we need to reduce the wage bill. Players like Coutinho, Donk, Carlos and even Digne need to be replaced with players of similar ability but less wages. If Cash does go, we need a replacement. Konsa can cover and Nedjelkovic is raw, but a specialist RB would be at the top of my list along with DM cover. And before someone suggests McKennie, no. RM maybe but not RB.

Normally, a player like this leaving us would be absolutely gut wrenching. Like in the past losing Grealish, Benteke, Young or Milner, losing them felt like a kick in the stones. But, I don't feel this way with Luiz. And the reason for the is Emery.

It really isn't, down to the style of football and player/manager turnover, a completely unstable environment. He'll also be competing with Jackson for a starting place, who's only 2 years older than him. How do you give both of them the game time they need to develop? At least here, Watkins is 28, so you would continue to develop until you surpassed him and then replaced him. But, we can't turn that money down, so off he goes.

McKennie does strengthen us, he's better than Dendoncker and Tim. Iling-Junior doesn't necessarily strengthen us straight away, but we signed Rogers and Nedjelkovic for their high ceilings.

Forest need a hand with PSR too, Cash to Forest, Gibbs-White to us.

No idea, but 20m for Luiz, 50m for Duran and 30m for Cash would leave us very comfortable. Emery could build a serious squad with the PSR room. We'd still need to move on high earners like Digne, Carlos and COutinho due to UEFA's squad turnover costs wouldn't we?
