    I understand what you mean, the problem with the top formation is that Buendia and Bailey would be expected to defend like full backs when not in possession, which presents the same issue you've mentioned with players in positions they aren't strongest.

    I think he needs to modify the system, at least until he is able to get the players in that he wants.

    To convince him to stay. The Club obviously rate him highly and don't want him to run his contract down. But I agree, he hasn't looked that impressive apart from a few moments, and he is still very young. If I was Sanson though i'd be extremely annoyed that an 18 year old kid is getting more minutes just to appease his agent.

    3 at the back would help with the full backs going forward, the left and right sided defenders can help cover those positions. The middle defender can be a sort of hybrid role with Chambers comfortable in defense and DM

    Is Konsa still suspended for Watford? I'd like to see Chambers play in DM, so he can move into a back 3 when defending, and into midfield when in possession.

    What a sight that would be, Mings and Martinez hoofing every ball up to Davis to nod it down to Coutinho or Buendia.

    Don't have the players up front for that either, would need a tall physical striker to win the ball in the air.

    Could be worth trying. I know we didn't look great with a back 3 under DS but we didn't have chambers then, he can step up into DM when in possession to allow DL to advance forward.

    He's been unlucky with injury, hasn't really got a run of games. I think we'll see him as one of the narrow 10s, SG had Ryan Kent playing a similar role at rangers and he's traditionally a winger, so perhaps he will try Bailey in that role.

    I agree the midfield isn't working, but you can hardly blame Sanson, he's barely played.

    This was probably the most frustrating thing about the game yesterday, midfield and attack was all over the place.

    The price won't change if that's what has been agreed upon by both clubs, otherwise it would be pointless having an option to buy clause inserted into the contract.

    He'll be given a few caps by Southgate to give him a taste of international football, told he needs to play for a bigger club to feature for England regularly, be tapped up at an international tournament and then move for big money.

    A top quality DM will also elevate both Mings and Konsa.
