    It's not really that Marsielle aren't a huge club, it's that other bigger jobs, (Barca, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern, Milan, Juve) were all available and he was overlooked. He's just a tad overrated IMO.

    True. We'll have to wait and see once it's confirmed. But looking at similar deals City have done like Lavia and Porro, they ALWAYS include a sell on, that's the whole reason they sell these players.

    "there has been no suggestion that City still have a sell-on clause in place" - Possibly the vaguest sentence I've ever read. That article is also dated October 2023, whereas the article I linked that says there is a clause is dated June 2024.

    Why wouldn't there be a sell on clause with Luiz, City insert them into all their deals like Luiz (Lavia, Porro etc.)

    That's really all we have to say: "we were forced to sell them to comply with PSR, we did, and now we have" - The uproar about this is only coming from cartel fans, because now they can't buy or star players on the cheap like they have for years.

    I think he'll stay, Emery like him and trusts him, and he has experience at CL level which will be needed. His wages are high is the only issue, so it's possible they might offer him a new deal on reduced wages.

    Until next June when we have to do it again, we're just kicking the can down the road. Hopefully increased revenue from CL/kit deal/sponsers has an impact.
