  1. Didn't another of our players sign a new contract and left a few months later?
  2. I think he might retire, if he did it would open the door for Belotti to Milan. Insigne to Toronto is such a strange one, still in his prime and an Italy international.
  3. Terry left before the start of the season.
  4. His wages wouldn't be an issue for us. However he won't come, his dream move is to Milan, and if they don't go for him i'd imagine Conte would snap him up.
  5. Might be worth trying him or Bailey in the front two and dropping either Watkins or Ings.
  6. Except when he plays for Scotland, he looks like Zidane.
  7. He's out of contract in summer, Torino won't get a penny wherever he goes.
  8. Who will he sign for in 2023 when Newcastle sign a £30m left back.
  9. The squad is so unbalanced it's not even funny.
  10. But teams play right through us in the middle.
  11. I think it was also that Coutinho and Buendia were getting in each others way. why does he have to play two 10s anyway? I get he wants the narrow formation so the full backs can provide the width, but he could still play to wide players that cut in on their stronger foot which would still give the full backs room to. Coutinho right footed on left and Bailey left footed on right.
  12. Fair enough, a valid reason for not wanting him.
  13. Exactly, and he's played with Gerrard and Coutinho before. I don't get the issue people have with signing him, on football matters anyway (the Evra incident and biting aside). He would be here for a year max, play in the world cup and then probably retire or move for a pay day in 2023. The influence he would have on Archer would be worth it alone, even if he only scored 1 goal all season.
  14. He’s also fell out with Simeone, which has also contributed to him being benched.
  15. Spurs paid his release clause, but he rejected them. His release clause has now been increased. He’s destined for the top, no chance I’m afraid.
  16. Not sure, he does seem injury prone. Kamara and Ginter would be good acquisitions. Zagadou is young and highly rated from Dortmund, but is injury prone.
  17. The free transfers at the end of this season are mental. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege
  18. The price would be zero, his contract is up at end of season. But he’s nailed on for Milan.
  19. Fair enough. Money was probably more appealing since Digne hasn't really had any injury issues. If Digne is out for the Leicester game, SG has a serious selection issue. Young is too old and can't play 90 minutes bombing up and down the wing, Chrisene hasn't played in the PL before. He will need to change the system slightly or perhaps play Bailey at left back.
  20. He did have every right to leave, as does any player, but the club also have the right to say no. It's now left us in a situation were we will have to play Young or Chrisene in the next match.
  21. Against his will? He's not a slave. Players ask to leave clubs all the time doesn't mean they leave right away, we could just have said no and sold him in the summer.
  22. Your basing this on his goal scoring record this season? By your logic we wouldn't have went near Jota when he played for Wolves, he never got into double figures for them.
  23. I believe Dennis would score plenty, if playing in front of the likes of Coutinho or Buendia . He has a better shot conversion ratio than both Watkins and Ings, he's less wasteful when shooting, and unlike Ings he suits an intense pressing game. Should we just sign a striker who's scored the most goals? We signed one that scored 12 last season and 20 the season before. Or we could spend a fortune on a striker from abroad with a good goal scoring record like Lukaku and hope for the best?
