Too many long balls from Emi and Mings. Matip and VVD clearing them up all day long.
-
Perhaps that's why we are linked with Kondogbia?
-
It was probably Bielsa's training that caused the injury, he runs his teams into the ground.

In case we sell him, then Barca make a bit more money since they are selling him at a reduced price.

I was gonna suggest trying Buendia as one of the midfield three, especially with Ramsey out. He has the work rate to cover the full-back, and would get him on the pitch without dropping Coutinho.
-
I don't think that's what this is. I could be wrong, but it sounds like just a sell on clause. If we sell Coutinho, Barca get 50% of the fee.

We are generally tight lipped about our signing, like Ings and Chambers. If we continue like that, hopefully we can make a few signings without Newcastle even knowing.

I've not seen a lot of him, don't watch the French league. But for someone his age to have so many senior appearances, surely a good sign.
-
I think most fans would want Coutinho signed permanently as he is a big name, but it does create a real dilemma with Buendia.

So Man Utd then
-
I'd imagine there would be quite hefty signing on and agent fees for both, will be substantially more than £12m in total.

I'm sure SG will arrange a mini pre-season during World Cup, but we could have a fair few players away at it: Martínez Buendía (possibly) Cash Mings Luiz (possibly) McGinn (possibly) Watkins (possibly) Coutinho Digne
-
I can see Liverpool making a few changes, the league is City's to loose and Liverpool have the FA Cup this weekend, they won't risk key players getting injured. Not that it will matter, they'll still beat us like.
-
Yeah 5 subs will make a massive difference next season. Players who might have went on loan will probably stay around the first team now, and will benefit players like Sanson who should see more minutes even if it's from the bench.
-
Could possibly see Archer as back-up/rotation next season, with the addition of Suarez. Watkins and Ings a first-choice, Suarez and Archer coming on to replace.
-
I would add a new no. 8 to that as well if we lose Luiz, Chuk or Sanson.

I think it's all but confirmed from what i've read, the only hold up is how much Barca pay as it will depend what league Leeds are in.

Not sure what the issue with his contract his, obviously heard a lot of different rumours so no idea what to believe. But if his issue is game time, surely he could sign a contract with increased salary with the promise of a suitable loan would be found for him? And I don't mean a loan for a few months to a Championship team, but a high profile loan to either Germany or Italy where is is guaranteed first team football at a decent level.
-
I've not heard anything about PSG wanting rid of him, only that they would listen to offers as the player himself wants to leave due to lack of game time. It hasn't worked out for him at PSG, he probably should have stayed at Liverpool, that doesn't man he wouldn't instantly improve our midfield.

Do you think we would be linked with Wijnaldum if he was putting in great performances playing week in week out for PSG?

Would definitely help seeing out games or getting back into one. And with 5 subs being introduced in PL can still give game time to younger players.

I think SG has identified that and will be making big changes because of it. We have some good players, but most of the squad seem to weak mentally, which is evident when we go a goal down, we very rarely come back to win. You don't see that at the top clubs, like Liverpool the other night, 2-0 down but come back to win 3-2. Having experienced winners will also help the young players coming through, someone like Wijnaldum would have a massive impact on Iroegbunam.

Wasn't he a wonderkid in Championship Manager about 15 years ago? He must be in his 30s now?

Probably a bit of both, SG did build the squad though. Maybe we should have hired GvB
