Yep, he changed the game. This is my biggest concern next season with 5 subs. Teams like City and Liverpool have deep squads, and will basically be able to change half their outfield players, I imagine you'll see a lot of come backs from the big teams next season.

If we go our usual set up, we'll be crushed. It won't happen but i'd just play our fastest attackers and hit balls over the top. City will be playing a ridiculously high line from the off to try and get a goal, if we can hit them on the counter we MIGHT just nick something.

All the play seemed to go down the right last night, or did I imagine that? Cash played right into Burnley's hands, his crosses were either blocked or high crosses that made it into the box caught by Pope. And you're right, he does shoot far too often.

Round pegs in square holes. The players have had 2/3 of a season to get used to the system, a pre-season isn't going to make a difference to the ones that haven't adapted.

We have centre backs who make mistakes far too often, midfielders that can't keep possession, attackers that go missing and strikers that can't score. I'd say 5 players minimum

I wish I was as optimistic as you. If we only sign a CB and a CDM then we are finishing mid-table again.

Agreed, we need a 6/8 hybrid to play as the other 8, which will allow McGinn/Ramsey to go forward with a bit more freedom

They will be a more attractive prospect than us in the summer. They have a 'project' as well and can offer more wages. I think it will be a long time before we finish above them again.

So we are due to get a pay out for Jack if City beat us and win the league? But if Liverpool win the league Wolves get a payout for Jota.

A player i'd like us to look at that can play DM with good passing is Florian Grillitsch, available on a free too.

While not terrible, McGinn's isn't great either at 60%, a lot of wasted passes. Rodri is elite though, so no shame in being worse than him. McGinn does attempt the most out of our midfielders, maybe something he could work on in training.

I'll give you KDB, his is similar % to McGinn, but Gundogan percentage for long balls is 71%, Bernardo Silva is 71% and Rodri is 86%. They are far more accurate.

They are though, Man City have a long ball completion percentage of 74% and Liverpools' is 68%, ours by comparison is 55%

The difference is Man City and Liverpools' long balls are accurate.

I'm optimistic about the summer signings as most people are, but it will be naïve to think that a few signings are going to change us dramatically. We struggle to break teams down, and when we can't we don't really have a plan B. A few signings aren't going to change that.
