  1. RLC is probably more likely IMO. Chelsea would likely want to keep Gallagher as he is younger, whereas RLC is 26 and probably the right time to sell him from their perspective. Depends how much they would want for him.
  2. Gallagher is the bigger talent obviously , but I wouldn't be that disappointed if we signed Loftus-Cheek. Would be a decent option as an #8.
  3. Maybe froze out is the wrong phrase, drop down the pecking order is maybe more appropriate. If we sign another CM, along with McGinn and Ramsey that's 3 players ahead of him. His game will be significantly reduced.
  4. I think I read somewhere that it was to do with FFP. Any sales now are for the current FFP period, whereas if we had sold them before it would have been last FFP period which should already be quite healthy with the £100m sale of Jack.
  5. Risks being froze out and not playing much if that's the case, his outside chance of making the world cup squad for Brazil would change to zero.
  6. Only if he signs a contract, if not he should be sold this window.
  7. Not going to disagree with you, but he's not going anywhere this window, especially if we sell Luiz rather than let him run his contract down. He should be replaced, but for now he's back up to Kamara.
  8. Currently we have Kamara, McGinn, Ramsey, Luiz, Sanson, Nakamba, Chuk and Tim for midfield, that's 8 players for 3 positions, we only need 6 so if we sign a new CM then three are surplus to requirements: Kamara/Nakamba McGinn/Ramsey New CM/ 1 of Luiz/Sanson/Chuk/Tim
  9. I'm the same. I think he needs to be more defensive minded rather than attack minded, which will allow the more attack oriented CM (Ramsey or McGinn) to go forward.
  10. Sangare would be ideal, just pay the release clause before United do.
  11. Spurs with a front three of Son--Kane--Racharlison looks pretty decent.
  12. I think he has a €35m release clause, no way they'd be turning that kind of money down.
  13. I see. I don’t see us signing a player for £30m to see if he might be able to play in a position he doesn’t play, in a league he’s never played in. We’re rich, but not that rich.
  14. Based on what? He doesn’t play there for Porto, and doesn’t play there for Portugal. He plays in a front 3 or on the wing. I mean, he might be versatile enough to be converted to an #8, but are we going to pay €30-40m to find out?
  15. Deeper? He’s primarily a winger. So play him instead of Cash? He will? He’s played a CM a grand total of 17 times his entire career. Would be an expensive experiment to see if he could slot in as an 8 in the PL.
  16. He is? But we already have Coutinho and Buendia.
  17. At least we would have the option to switch. Also we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, the departure of Beale and addition of Critchley might have prompted Gerrard to make changes to the system. For me Otavio doesn't suit the current set up, without dropping Coutinho or Buendia.
  18. This is were I see the benefit of tactical subs next season with 5 subs. If McGinn is knackered after 60-65 mins bring on someone else. Or indeed if we upgrade McGinn this window, bring him on with 25 mins to go and let him run his heart out.
  19. His progression is a good bit below average, it's the same as Westwood. His ball-winning is near enough average.
  20. They are below average according to that chart.
  21. I was surprised Allan was so high for both ball winning and progression. The chart shows that McGinn would be excellent in a double pivot along with someone like Phillips.
