I've not heard this TBH, if it's true he shouldn't even have been promoted to the first team and should have been shipped out on loan or sold.

Don't think we will here anything now until the team are back from Australia, it will give Carney time to think about the situation he finds himself in. He will either sign the contract or it will alienate him and his mind is made up to leave. Him and his team at least now know that the offer Villa have made is the final and best he's getting for now, so unless he has another club lined up that can better Villas offer, he either signs and stays or he goes.

At some point Villa have to draw the line, the contract is there, sign it or don't. Even if Chuk stays, it will hopefully set a precedent with other players that come through can't hold the club to ransom.

Looks unlikely, the contract has been on the table since October apparently. Being left out of the team might force him to sign it if he has no offers, if he has offers then he's likely off.

This will be a major benefit of having a good youth academy. Not all the players will make it with us, even if we are selling the ones that don't for £8m here, £10m there, it all adds up.

Yes, City had a a 15% of profit sell on clause. So in total they have received about £18m from Dortmund.

Rooney had two full season with Everton under his belt, and played for England in an international tournament all by the age of 18. He was the most in demand teenager in world football, and was never going to stay at Everton when Man Utd were after him. And United paid over £30m for him, hardly getting him on the cheap.

Well whatever the reason, weather it’s money, or playing time. The lines been drawn in the sand. Over to Carney now, he either signs and stays, or doesn’t and is sold. Looking like the latter.

If Guilbert is for staying, then KKH needs a loan, can't be having him as 3rd or 4th choice behind Guilbert and Young. A full season at a top championship team will do wonders, then he can come in and fight with Cash when Guilbert moves on and Young eventually retires.

Luiz offers a significant amount to the first team, and would still be in contention to play regularly even if he isn't going to extend his contract.

Of course it's okay. When it's your club doing it then it's fine, when another club does it to you, it's not, would literally be the stance from every fanbase in world football.

That's likely not a position the club wants to be in. The player could get all the game time he wants and then sign a contract with someone else in January.

Whatever happens now I'm about done with this saga. If he signs, great, if not, sell him or let him leave on a free. Our academy is the best it's ever been, Both Ramsey's and Tim look like they could have a real impact in our squad over the next few seasons.

I wish people would stop referring to him as a 'generational talent' Messi and Ronaldo were generational talents, Chuk is a standout player in a good youth team, who may or may not go onto to be a great player.

No idea myself, but if he stays past the summer transfer window he can start talking to clubs in January as he'll be in last 6 months of his current deal, then he'll leave for about £300,000 compensation.
